Williamstown Theatre Festival has named Mandy Greenfield as its new Artistic Director, the Festival's Board Chair Matt Harris announced today. Greenfield, who is currently Artistic Producer at Manhattan Theatre Club, succeeds Jenny Gersten beginning September 2014. As previously announced, Gersten departs Williamstown Theatre Festival in January 2014 to become Executive Director of Friends of the Highline. Gersten will program the upcoming 2014 season, and Williamstown Theatre Festival Producer Stephen Kaus will oversee the season. Greenfield's tenure as Artistic Director will begin immediately following the 2014 season, the Festival's 60th.

Rockwood Music Hall welcomes back pianist James Carson and drummer Lyndon Rochelle (Esperanza Spalding) tonight, February 1, 2013 at 7pm. After filming the finale of Carson's documentary Cabin Music at their last outing there together this past December, the pair returns to deliver the incomparable synergy of Carson's shimmering piano effects with Rochelle's entrancing hip-hop beats. Expect incredible energy and an eclectic blend of masterly improvisation and pianistic and percussive virtuosity.

As told by eight actors and a musical instrument, this 90-minute show unfolds against the backdrop of Prohibition in the big city. Laurence Lesher directs this production, in which one actor plays the twin leads, Viola and Sebastian, and another plays Antonio and Orsino.

Renowned investigative theatre company The Civilians celebrates its 2011-2012 season with the presentation of its first ever Civilian of the Year Award. The Civilians will honor Robert Hammond, co-founder of The High Line, at its 2012 Benefit tonight, April 23rd, at the Highline Ballroom. Hammond will be feted by the company's Associate Artists as well as additional stage and screen stars in a one-night-only performance of interviews and songs by Michael J. Friedman (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) about Hammond and the creation of The High Line, put together in The Civilians' signature investigative style. Interviewees for this unique performance include Amanda Burden (Director of the Department of City Planning), Florent Morellet (Restaurant Owner), and Bronson Van Wyck (Event Planner).

Random Access Theatre Company will continue their 2012 season with TWELFTH NIGHT, by William Shakespeare, Directed by Lawrence Lesher. Twelfth Night will open with one ticketed benefit performance before a run of free park performances throughout New York City. The opening night benefit performance on Friday, May 11th at 8:00PM is at GrindSpace Loft and features an open bar and beautiful views of Gramercy.
Last night, November 14, The Williamstown Theatre Festival honored the Festival's renowned Training Programs at its Annual Benefit, 'We The Future' at the Edison Ballroom in New York City. The evening, hosted by Award-winning comedian (and Williamstown veteran) Lewis Black, featured former WTF alumni Tony Goldwyn (Promises, Promises; 1981 Non-Equity Company), Kathryn Hahn (Revolutionary Road, 1997 Non-Equity Company) and Constantine Maroulis ('American Idol,' 2002 WTF Apprentice), performing with members of the 2011 Apprentice and Non-Equity companies.
