This year, Planet Connections' signature event, designed to address a powerful social and topical issue facing our society today through engaging stage works, will explore the distinctions between gender and sexuality. The event will benefit THE ALI FORNEY CENTER, whose mission is to protect LGBTQ youths from the dangers of homelessness and empower them with the tools needed to live independently.
THE AWARD-WINNING BOOMERANG THEATRE COMPANY, celebrating 20 years of producing re-imagined classics and world premieres, is pleased to present William Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Sara Thigpen. TWELFTH NIGHT will play a limited outdoor engagement at Central Park (69th Street and Central Park West, NYC). Performances begin Saturday, June 16 and continue through Sunday, July 15. First workshopped as a reading through Boomerang Theatre and then at an award winning staged reading at 2013's Planet Connections Festivity, BOHEMIAN VALENTINE makes its World Premiere fully staged premiere at the 2014 New York Fringe Festival. It will be performed at 'Teatro LATEA at the Clemente (107 Suffolk Street).' Performance dates are TODAY, AUGUST 9th - 1pm, TUESDAY AUGUST 12th - 2pm, MONDAY AUGUST 18th - 8:45pm, WEDNESDAY AUGUST 20th - 8:45pm, and THURSDAY AUGUST 21st - 4:45pm.
