Roland Tec's WE PEDAL UPHILL To Open At Cinema Village 3/13

Writer/Director Roland Tec's (All The Rage) latest film, WE PEDAL UPHILL: Stories From The States 2001-2008, will open its theatrical engagement in New York at the Cinema Village on March 13, 2009. After the 2004 election, and troubled by the climate of fear taking hold of the country, Writer/Director Roland Tec began taking notes. Clipping news stories from the country he saw transforming before him, Tec let his imagination roam where the headlines left off. And so were born the thirteen vignettes that make up this penetrating look at a country mired in one of its darkest periods.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) begins 2009 with the New York premiere of THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION, a new play by Evan Smith (Psych and The Uneasy Chair at Playwrights Horizons, Remedial English for the Young Playwrights Festival at Playwrights Horizons, Servicemen at The New Group). This will be Mr. Smith's fourth collaboration with the theater company.

'ADDAMS FAMILY' Musical Website Open, Broadway Previews Begin March 2010

THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a new musical based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, has opened its official website, www.theaddamsfamilymusical.com and announced on the website that Broadway previews are scheduled to start on Broadway on March 5th, 2010 with April 8th, 2010 set for Opening Night.

Directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie (Chicago, New Jerusalem), in his Playwrights Horizons debut, the production will began previews on Friday, February 6, 2009 with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, March 3 at 7PM. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, March 15 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

Playwrights Horizons Now Accepting Entries For LIVEforFIVE

As of this morning, Wednesday, January 28, Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) is now accepting entries for its popular LIVEforFIVE online lottery for $5 tickets to its next production, the New York premiere of THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION, a new play by Evan Smith (Psych and The Uneasy Chair at Playwrights Horizons, Servicemen at The New Group). At least 50 tickets will be available via the online lottery. A ticketing initiative created last season as part of the theater company's Arts Access program, LIVEforFIVE makes $5 tickets available for the first preview performance of each Playwrights Horizons production through a lottery via the company's website (www.playwrightshorizons.org). The LIVEforFIVE lottery for THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION will be for tickets to the first preview on Friday, February 6 at 8:00 PM at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).
