THE BARDY BUNCH: The War of the Families Partridge and Brady, the musical parody by Stephen Garvey that gained cult status during its Off-Broadway run in 2014, is excited to announce casting for its limited engagement in Chicago, September 15 through November 27, at the Mercury Theater, 3745 N. Southport Avenue.

Judy Kuhn is currently starring in the Tony Award winning Broadway musical 'Fun Home,' for which she was nominated for Tony and Drama League Award Nominations and won the Lucille Lortel Award. On July 29 and 30 at 7:00 pm she joins the celebrated Broadway @ The Art House series, with Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host.

National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announced its 2016-17 grant recipients, including the 2016 Smith Prize for Political Theatre, four Producer Residencies, and four Collaboration Fund awards that will support partnerships between multiple Member Theaters, playwrights, and other theater makers in various projects.

HVT (Hudson Village Theatre) presents The Ladies Foursome, from Canada's well-loved and prolific playwright, Norm Foster. An instant hit when it debuted at the Upper Canada Village Playhouse in July of 2014, this 'hijinks on the links' comedy, running from June 22 to July 10, is directed by Scapegoat Carnivale Theatre's Co-founder and Co-artistic Director, Alison Darcy.

Dead Writers Theatre Collective opens its 2016 season with a clear look back at the Oscar Wilde classic, The Importance of Being Earnest. It opens July 1 at The Athenaeum Theatre. "It's the perfect choice to launch our 'Mad About The Boy' theme," states Collective Artistic Director Jim Schneider. "We're celebrating the good and bad side of love - all kinds of love. Our other two shows include a cabaret style production of Noel Coward's sophisticated work in Oh, Coward! and a dramatic look at tragic love with The Heiress. Norfolk & Norwich Festival, one of the biggest arts festivals in the UK, has today announced further events for its 2016 Festival. With the full programme still to be announced, further highlights revealed today include a brand new production of William Shakespeare's The Tempest directed by Artistic Director of Norfolk & Norwich Festival William Galinsky at the Great Yarmouth Hippodrome - Britain's only surviving purpose circus building erected in 1903 and Wild Life, an extraordinary collaboration between CAMPO's Artistic Collaborator Pol Heyvaert and young singer-songwriters from across Norfolk. Wild Life developed organically from the lives of the performers, and focuses on the songs they have written and what science tells us about how teenagers' brains work. The Festival have also announced Fierce Light, the world premiere event and exhibition from 14-18 NOW bringing together poets of international standing with contemporary film makers and visual artists to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War, Chris Thorpe's acclaimed plays Confirmation and Am I Dead Yet? about political extremism and what happens when we die respectively, an evening of French song and poetry with the powerful and unconventional ensemble troupe, I Fagiolini, a one-night only performance by the sensational singer-songwriter and political activist Billy Bragg and the English indie band Tindersticks.
