Public Sculptures and Sites Selected for ARTsites 2012

Howard County Arts Council (HCAC) has announced the 12 sites and sculptures selected for ARTsites 2012, a new public art initiative in Howard County, MD. The sculptures will be installed in April 2012 and will be in place for one year.

Tim is a normal, twentysomething New Yorker trying to get ahead at work while keeping his girlfriend Amy happy and living a 'normal' life. However, in Tim's world, his often peculiar choices leave him in outlandish, surprising situations.

Venue Ensemble Theatre Presents DeckChairs by Jean McConnell, 11/3-13

While relaxing in the deckchairs on a seaside promenade, a combination of joyous moments, spicy secrets, and family turmoil are revealed. Veteran actresses Nonie White, Ginger King, Shawn Hemond, Mary Kay Cyrus, and Corinne Broskette portray 10 very different characters in five true-to-life vignettes. The production is directed by Owen Robertson.

Fuller, Lively, et al. Set for Brimmer Street's FLOWER TO FLOWER

The Brimmer Street Theatre Company has announced the world premiere of Flower to Flower, a new comedy by Christina Cigala, directed by John Ennis, at El Centro Theatre Chaplin Stage in Hollywood. There will be one preview performance on Thursday, May 5, and opening night is set for Friday, May 6 at 8:00. Flower to Flower will play a limited engagement through June 4.

Produced by New York's Symphony Space, this year's series, Delicious Fictions, features three performances by Leonard Nimoy (Star Trek), Tim Curry (The Rocky Horror Picture Show), Denis O'Hare (True Blood), Christina Pickles (Friends), Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother), and other top actors reading luscious tales of food and passions, politics, mystery, and deep sea adventure. After each matinee performance and 45 minutes before Saturday's evening program, a perfectly paired wine and a scrumptious treat inspired by the series will be served.
