Sundance Institute Sets Seven Artists for 2015 Playwrights & Composers Retreat

Sundance Institute today announced the seven artists selected for its 2015 Playwrights & Composers Retreat at Ucross Foundation. The 16th annual writing colony at the 20,000-acre working cattle ranch outside of Sheridan, WY takes place February 2-20. Under the supervision of Artistic Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the Playwrights Retreat is made possible through the generosity of Ucross Foundation. The program is one of the 24 residency labs across many creative disciplines focusing on artistic process that Sundance Institute offers annually.

The Flea Theater has announced another extension of Kim Davies' World Premiere SMOKE, directed by Flea Resident Director Tom Costello (The Wundelsteipen (and other difficult roles for young people)) and featuring members of The Bats, the resident acting company at The Flea. Says Producing Director Carol Ostrow, "where 50 Shades of Grey dances on the surface of BDSM, Smoke cuts to the core."

The Flea Theater will offer a 2nd extension of Kim Davies' World Premiere SMOKE. It is directed by Flea Resident Director Tom Costello (The Wundelsteipen) and features members of The Bats, the resident acting company at The Flea. The Flea Theater presents Pod 2 of their terrifying 4 part theatrical event - THE CUTTHROAT SERIES: GRAND GUIGNOL DUELS beginning October 14. These turn of the century French plays alternate between ghastly horrors and carnal comedies to create a gripping, deplorable evening of theater. To add to that thrill, audience members will vote on their favorite play from each of the four pods (titled GORE, CRUELTY, NIGHT TERROR, and LUST) and the winners will return for an extended run in January. The winner from GORE was TICS, OR DOING THE DEED.

It seems that the celebrity nude photo streak is still going strong. According to Huffington Post, some of the latest victims are Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, and American soccer player Hope Solo. The supposed nude pictures of the stars were leaked onto 4chan and Twitter on Saturday morning. More pictures were leaked later that day of Jennifer Lawrence, Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco, Avril Lavigne, Lake Bell, Mary-Kate Olsen, Aubrey Plaza, Gabrielle Union, Emily Ratajkowski, Hayden Panettiere former Disney actresses Aly and AJ Michalka, and Gabrielle Union.
