Photo Flash: First Look at Theatreworks' TIME STANDS STILL

TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, presents the regional premiere of the recent Broadway hit TIME STANDS STILL by Pulitzer Prize-winner Donald Margulies (Dinner with Friends, Brooklyn Boy). The play will be helmed by Leslie Martinson and stars Rebecca Dines and Mark Anderson Phillips in the pivotal roles of the photojournalist and war correspondent, with Rolf Saxon and Sarah Moser completing the cast. TIME STANDS STILL runs August 22 - September 16, 2012 (press opening August 25) at TheatreWorks at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Critic Elisabeth Vincentelli Hosts BAM's TALES FROM THE SCRIPTS Tonight, 7/16

In a panel discussion moderated by New York Post Chief Theater Critic Elisabeth Vincentelli, theater fans have a chance to relive moments from some of BAM Theater Company's 1970s productions with rare photos, footage, and testimony of those who were actually there. The talk occurs as part of BAM's 150th Anniversary celebration tonight, July 16.

STAR QUALITY: THE WORLD OF NOËL COWARD Exhibition Announces Events Leading to Aug 18 Closing

The smash-hit exhibition Star Quality: The World of Noël Coward will close on August 18 after a five-month, twice-extended run. The show focuses on Coward as playwright, composer, director, stage, screen, cabaret performer, and international celebrity, and represents the most comprehensive exhibition on Noël Coward ever assembled, including unique material from the collections of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Since it opened on March 11, 2012, the Exhibition has attracted over 17,000 visitors.

The 68th annual THEATRE WORLD AWARDS, which will take place on Tuesday, June 5th at 2 pm at The Belasco Theatre, 111 West 44th Street, NYC., will include special performances by Broadway favorites Brian Stokes Mitchell, Michael Cerveris, Howard McGillin and Stephanie Umoh. The by-invitation-only ceremony will present Theatre World Awards to 12 actors for their Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut Performances during the 2011-2012 theatrical season. The Drama League announced today the winners for the 78th Annual Drama League Awards: Distinguished Play, Other Desert Cities, presented by Philip Seymour Hoffman; Distinguished Revival of a Play, Death of a Salesman, presented by Christian Borle; Distinguished Production of a Musical, Once, presented by Cynthia Nixon; Distinguished Revival of a Musical, Follies, presented by Kelli O'Hara; and Distinguished Performance, Audra McDonald, presented by John Lithgow at a star-studded luncheon ceremony hosted by Stockard Channing (Other Desert Cities) and John Larroquette (Gore Vidal's The Best Man) at the Marriott Marquis Times Square.

2012 Tony Omissions - What Potential Nominees Were Overlooked?

In a season as rich as this past theatrical season though, there are only so many spots for nominees and some very talented shows and performers were not nominated. Tony Awards Release 2012 Nominees Cheat Sheet!

Passage Theatre Company Opens SLIPPERY AS SIN, 5/17

Passage Theatre Company, Trenton's only professional theater company, will wrap up its 2011-2012 season with Slippery as Sin, running from May 17 to June 3. David Lee White's comic thriller will be directed by Adam Immerwahr - the same team that delivered the 2010 smash hit, Blood: A Comedy.
