Today, June 12, 2015 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at the Cherry Valley Country Club in Skillman, NJ, Princeton Ballet School, the official school of American Repertory Ballet, will host its second annual fashion show: 'Turn Out for Fashion.'
Stage Adaptation of COOL HAND LUKE to Play 59E59 Theaters

Due to unforeseen circumstances, BRITANNIA WAVES THE RULES has pulled out of the 2015 Brits Off Broadway festival at 59E59 Theaters. Replacing the show is Godlight Theatre Company's production of COOL HAND LUKE, an adaptation of Donn Pearce's searing novel. This production is not part of Brits Off Broadway. COOL HAND LUKE is adapted for the stage by Emma Reeves and directed by Joe Tantalo. COOL HAND LUKE begins performances on Tuesday, May 5 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 31. Press opening is Thursday, May 7 at 7:15 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday at 8:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM & 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Tickets are $30 ($21 for 59E59 Members). American Repertory Ballet (ARB) Artistic Director Douglas Martin will premiere his new full-length ballet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, on February 26 and 27, 2015 at the State Theatre in New Brunswick, NJ. The ballet will feature the beloved score by Mendelssohn, performed live by Rutgers Symphony Orchestra. ARB will also bring this new ballet to the Zoellner Arts Center in Bethlehem, PA on March 6. In anticipation of these performances, today January 16, ARB will host 'Behind the Music: A Midsummer Night's Dream,' a free lecture featuring guest and music scholar Simon Morrison.

Princeton Ballet School to Welcome Alum and Fulbright Scholar Casey Lee Thorne for 8/21 Workshop

This Thursday, August 21, 2014, Princeton Ballet School will host a special workshop led by notable alumna and Fulbright Scholar Casey Lee Thorne. Thorne graduated from Princeton Ballet School's Professional Training Program and is Founder and Artistic Director of Inside Out Contemporary Ballet (IOCB), a professional dance company based in Marin, California. She will lead a contemporary dance workshop for advanced dancers at Princeton Ballet School's studios in Princeton, NJ on August 21, 2014 from 11:45 am until 1:15 pm. The workshop is part of Thorne's choreographic project If I Were You - Project Israel, for which she recently received a Fulbright Scholarship.

Princeton Ballet School's Summer Intensive Program will be hosting several guest teachers this year, including New York City Ballet dancer Unity Phelan. Phelan originally trained at Princeton Ballet School from 2000 to 2009, and then continued her training at the School of American Ballet, the official training academy of New York City Ballet. She became an apprentice of the company in December of 2012, and joined New York City Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet in November of 2013.
