Michael Riedel, theater columnist for the New York Post and author of the best selling book RAZZLE DAZZLE The Battle For Broadway, led a panel discussion at the Friars Club last night.  The book is advertised with the slogan, "everything you wanted to know about Broadway, but were afraid to ask"! 

Telly Leung, the Broadway and television star of 'Glee,' Godspell, Rent and more, returns to Feinstein's/54 Below for two shows only tonight and tomorrow, September 13 and 14, after a two-year hiatus and a 'star turn' (NBC New York) in Broadway's Allegiance opposite George Takei and Lea Salonga.

On September 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Abravanel Hall, Mary Anne Huntsman will headline the Utah Symphony's 76th Season Opening Gala with a performance of Rachmaninoff's legendary Piano Concerto No. 2 under the baton of Music Director Thierry Fischer. Also on the program is the Utah Symphony performing Beethoven's Symphony No. 5.

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati (ETC) has announced its 2016-2017 Season, which features a compelling selection of stories centered upon the power of change and moving forward.

This fall, Company of Fools (COF) will present Grounded, the gripping drama by award-winning playwright George Brant. The play will run Sept. 28-Oct. 13 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey. Hailed by The New York Times as "A scorching, sharp-eyed, timely script … (that) lets no one off easy," this heartbreaking, beautiful, and necessary story is one of courage, motherhood and modern warfare. COF will present this play with the audience seated onstage in the round, and seating is limited to 60 patrons at each performance.?

Matrix Theatre Company opens its 2016-17 season with Sizwe Bansi is Dead by Athol Fugard onFriday, September 23, 2016. This powerful play weaves the story of a man living under apartheid rule in South Africa whose only hope for financially supporting his family means he must relinquish his very name.  The show runs through Sunday, October 16, 2016 with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 3 pm.

The world premiere of Broadway Bounty Hunter, took place at Barrington Stage Company last night and Broadwayworld was there for the opening night festivities at the Sydelle & Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center. Broadway Bounty Hunter features music and lyrics by Joe Iconis (Be More Chill, The Black Suits, Bloodsong of Love), book by Joe Iconis, Lance Rubin (author of Denton Little's Deathdate) and Jason SweetTooth Williams (Off Broadway: Once Upon A Mattress), and choreography by Jeffrey Page (Broadway's Violet). Joel Waggoner (BSC's Presto Change-O, Southern Comfort) serves as music director.

Singer-songwriter/screenwriter/director/producer Haroula Rose along with Mary Ann Marino, Sam Bisbee, and Joshua Blum will produce the coming-of-age independent comedy'Permanent' starring Patricia Arquette and Rainn Wilsonare.
