Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland's Classic Company, will present an extraordinary pre-show discussion and performance event exploring the science behind attraction, entitled What's Love Got to do With It?: The Science of Attraction, in conjunction with the company's production of Shakespeare's classic Romeo & Juliet, at the Hanna Theatre, PlayhouseSquare on Friday, April 27th. Commencing at 6:00 p.m. with a pre-show discussion featuring area experts in the area of Psychiatry, Anthropology and Health in the Hanna Theatre's Salon, the event will culminate in a performance of Great Lakes Theater's main stage production of Romeo & Juliet at 7:30 p.m. as part of GLT's Classics and Conversations audience engagement series.

Next Theatre Company will present the Midwest premiere of Amy Herzog's After the Revolution, directed by Kimberly Senior, April 5 - May 13, 2012, at Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes Street. Previews are April 5 - 8 and the opening/press night is Tuesday, April 10 at 7 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Sundance Institute today announced the eight projects selected from nearly 900 submissions to participate in the 2012 Theatre Lab, July 9-29 at the Sundance Resort. Under the supervision of Philip Himberg, Producing Artistic Director, and Associate Director Christopher Hibma, the Lab is the centerpiece of the Theatre Program's year-round work and is designed to support emerging and established artists and to create a place where their original work can be effectively mentored and challenged.

Regularly scheduled performances continue Sunday, March 11th at 2 pm and Sunday, March 18th at 2 pm. American Blues Theater Announces 2012-13 Season

Producing Artistic Director Gwendolyn Whiteside of American Blues Theater (ABT), Chicago's second oldest Equity ensemble, today announced the Ensemble's 27th season. The season kicks off with the world premiere of Illegal Use of Hands by Emmy Award-winner, two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist and ABT Artistic Affiliate James Still, directed by Sandy Shinner, August 31 - September 30 and followed by the critically acclaimed It's a Wonderful Life: Live on State Street! , now at the Museum of Broadcast Communications, directed by ABT Artistic Affiliate Marty Higginbotham, November 16 - December 30. ABT's final 2012 -2013 production is Pulitzer Prize playwright Donald Margulies' 2010 Broadway script Collected Stories, co-directed by Steppenwolf Artistic Affiliate Jessica Thebus and Mary Ann Thebus.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) and Gala Chair Patti Rueff just announced Expect the Unexpected!, A.C.T.'s 2012 Season Gala, starring A.C.T. Young Conservatory alumnus Darren Criss (TV's Glee, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway), two-time Tony Award winner Bill Irwin (Scapin at A.C.T., Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? on Broadway), A.C.T. Master of Fine Arts Program graduate Patrick Lane (Brian Hawkins in A.C.T.'s world premiere production of Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City), and Betsy Wolfe (Mary Ann Singleton in A.C.T.'s world premiere production of Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City, 110 in the Shade and Everyday Rapture on Broadway).
