The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) presents the final installment of the 2012-13 Studio Series with a production of Emily Mann's powerful docu-drama Execution of Justice, directed by CCM Professor of Drama Michael Burnham. Execution of Justice runs tonight, April 18-20 in UC's Cohen Family Studio Theater. Admission is free, but reservations are required. This production contains mature subject matter.

Sideshow Theatre Company continues its 2012/13 season with the Chicago premiere of MARIA/STUART by Jason Grote, directed by Marti Lyons, playing now through May 5, 2013 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. MARIA/STUART features the work of Sideshow Ensemble member Nate Whelden (Stuart) and Artistic Associate Scottie Caldwell (Hannah) with Mary Anne Bowman, Ann James, Susan Monts-Bologna and Jennifer Joan Taylor. American Blues Theater, Chicago's second oldest Equity ensemble, proudly closes the Ensemble's 27th season with the Broadway version of the script Collected Stories by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies, co-directed by the mother and daughter team of Mary Ann Thebus and Steppenwolf Theater Associate Artist Jessica Thebus, runs April 19 - May 19 at Victory Gardens' Richard Christiansen Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's (BSO) OrchKids will perform their West Baltimore Community Concert on Friday, April 12 at 5:30 p.m. at New Song Academy. OrchKids, the BSO's flagship community engagement program designed to create social change and nurture promising futures for Baltimore City's underserved youth, presents community concerts throughout the season. The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of the San Diego premiere of Jon Robin Baitz's award-winning family drama Other Desert Cities. Directed by Richard Seer, Other Desert Cities will run on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, April 27 - June 2, 2013. Preview performances run April 27 - May 1. Opening night is Thursday, May 2 at 8:00 p.m. Other Desert Cities is a co-production with TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. Cutting Ball Theater presents the fourth installment of this season's Hidden Classics Reading Series. The fat, fun-loving character of Falstaff is considered by many to be one of Shakespeare's greatest inventions. Perhaps the biggest fan was Queen Elizabeth, who insisted that Shakespeare write a play that featured Falstaff after he killed him off in Henry V; THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR is the result of that request. The reading will take place today, March 24, 2013.

Hallmark Movie Channel announces its first-ever original holiday movie, CHRISTMAS WITH TUCKER begins production in Northern Ontario, Canada.

San Diego Musical Theatre announces its second production of the 2013 season, Rodgers and Hammerstein's THE SOUND OF MUSIC, running May 10-26, 2013 with a press opening on Saturday, May 11, at The Birch North Park Theatre. THE SOUND OF MUSIC features Music by Richard Rodgers, Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and Book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse.

The production is directed by Judith Chapman, star of television's 'The Young And The Restless'. I sat down with Ms. English in her beautiful Palm Springs home to chat about her career, the upcoming production and 'all things Joey'. Here are a few highlights from that conversation:
