Hell in a Handbag Productions announces casting for its revival of the musical that started it all: POSEIDON! An Upside Down Musical, a musical parody and loving homage to the classic 1972 film, The Poseidon Adventure, the grandmother of all disaster films.
The Sands Point Preserve Conservancy, located on the Gold Coast of Long Island, New York, will present four magical concerts on February 2, April 6, July 13 and October 5, 2019, followed by themed dinners in four stunning locations across the Preserve. The former Guggenheim Estate's historic mansions and waterfront grounds are the backdrop. Each concert is a unique program of chamber music and poetry, inspired by themes throughout the year.

Following extensive, highly competitive auditions, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) announced seven orchestra seats have been filled starting in the 2018-19 season and one position was filled in the final months of the 2017-18 season. Of the eight newly filled positions, five musicians are newly hired, two are CSO members who won new positions and one musician, Principal Trumpet Robert Sullivan, marks the return of a former member of the Orchestra. For the 2018-19 appointments, auditions were held between November 2017 and May 2018 and attracted candidates from around the world.

Pamela Tan-Nicholson's explosive new production, TriOperas, opens at the Peacock Theatre in under three weeks, and the sensational cast have been taking every 'opera-tunity' to rehearse, for the show's groundbreaking opening. Inspired by three of the best-known female characters in opera, Turandot, Madam Butterfly and Carmen, TriOperas opens on 23 May, for a limited season until 1 July, with press night on 29 May 2018.

Comedy Central announced today that its newest game show series Taskmaster, hosted by Reggie Watts (The Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Bang! Bang!), will premiere on Friday, April 27 at 11:00 p.m. The series, whose format originated in the U.K., requires individuals to use ingenuity and creativity to complete unusual challenges. Throughout the season, Watts and his co-host, Alex Horne, judge five unwitting contestants which include Freddie Highmore (The Good Doctor, Bates Motel), Kate Berlant (High Maintenance, Search Party), Dillon Francis (DJ, Record Producer), Lisa Lampanelli (stand-up and insult comic), and Ron Funches (Trolls, Undateable) as they compete independently against each other in a series of stupefying tasks. Taskmaster will air two back-to-back episodes on Fridays at 11pm ET/PT for four weeks.
