DTE Energy's Motor City NYE ('The Drop'), presented by Quicken Loans, today announced its move to Beacon Park - downtown Detroit's newest public space, located at Grand River and Cass Avenue, adjacent to DTE Energy headquarters. This beautiful and contemporary gathering place is the perfect backdrop for Detroit's wildly popular New Year's Eve celebration. The event will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2017 and run through 1 a.m. January 1, 2018.

Joining the previously announced Adrienne Warren, who plays the title role, are Kobna Holdbrook-Smith as Ike Turner, Madeline Appiah as Tina's mother Zelma Bullock, Jenny Fitzpatrick as the alternate Tina, Lorna Gayle as Tina's Grandmother GG, Tom Godwin as Record Producer Phil Spector and Lyricist Terry Britten, Francesca Jackson as Ike and Tina's manager Rhonda Graam, Aisha Jawando as Tina's sister Alline Bullock, Natey Jones as Tina's father Richard Bullock and Tina's first love Raymond Hill, Gerard McCarthy as record company Marketing Manager Erwin Bach and Ryan O'Donnell as Tina's Manager Roger Davies. They are joined by ensemble members Tsemaye Bob-Egbe, Keisher Downie, Kit Esuruoso who also plays Tina's son Craig Hill, Jammy Kasongo, Sia Kiwa, Jason Langley, Kayleigh McKnight, Baker Mukasa and Tanisha Spring and swings Derek Aidoo, Gavin Alex, Edward Bourne, Candace Furbert, Hannah Jay-Allan and Rodney Vubya.

Aisha Jawando recently played Martha in the original London cast of Motown the Musical. This Christmas, she stars in the title role of Hackney Empire's Cinderella. Darren Hart is a Hackney regular and is also known for television and film appearances. He'll be playing Buttons in this year's Cinderella.

Chris Isaacson Presents and the City of Los Angeles have announced that Grammy Award-winning recording artist and Motown legend Thelma Houston in her show My Motown Memories & More! has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 15 at 7:30pm at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center.
