Electric Entertainment has acquired all media rights for the U.S. and Canada for the self-aware horror comedy FEAR, INC., it was announced today by Dean Devlin, President and CEO of the company.

Broadway In Chicago will welcome the completely original new musical Something Rotten!, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award and Tony Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Tony Award nominees Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, will play Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W Randolph) July 11-23, 2017.

Cirque du Soleil's first Broadway musical tells a tale of romance and dreams of movie stardom.

Cirque du Soleil and RED, a Sony distribution company, announced today that the Broadway cast album of PARAMOUR will be recorded on June 29 and 30 to be released later this summer. The album will contain songs and selections from the show, including material by Bob & Bill and Andreas Carlsson.

Trip of Love, the 1960's pop music spectacular,breaks the Stage 42 house record, becoming the theater's longest running tenant. At the matinee on Wednesday, June 22, Trip of Love will have played 305 performances (including 24 preview performances). This breaks standing house record held by the 2003 musical Fame on 42nd Street, which ran for a total of 304 performances (including 40 previews) at the same venue when it was previously called The Little Shubert Theater.

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig have announced today that the hit musical Kinky Boots will donate a portion of all proceeds from tickets sold to the Sunday, June 26th Pride weekend performance to benefit the Our Fund Foundation, which promotes a culture of philanthropy by uniting donors with organizations supporting the LGBT community in Southern Florida, to help the victims and families of the recent Orlando tragedy.

The Kennedy Center presents KINKY BOOTS, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award winner for Best Score for KINKY BOOTS). Production images for ALADDIN have been released today ahead of its official opening night at the Prince Edward Theatre on Wednesday 15 June. The Purple Rose Theatre Company continues its strong tradition of producing world premieres and theatrical favorites for its 2016-2017 season.
