Alana Davis Announces Select Live Dates, New Album LOVE AGAIN Out Now

Singer-Songwriter Alana Davis will play select East Coast live dates in October in support of her latest release Love Again.  The trek will hit Washington DC, Boston and her native New York City (Dates below.) Love Again was released May 4th via Cleopatra Records and is Davis' first studio album in thirteen years.

A.R.T. Announces September/October OBERON Programming

American Repertory Theater at Harvard University (A.R.T.) announces September and October 2018 programming at OBERON, its club space for cutting-edge performance and thriving incubator for local and emerging artists. Upcoming events include A.R.T.'s Live @ OBERON, Breakout (formerly OBERON Presents), and Afterglow @ OBERON series, as well as independently-produced events.

Bilal, The Brian McKnight 4 and Creed Bratton from THE OFFICE Headline September at Blue Note Hawaii

The month kicks off with local songstress Melveen Leed and the return of the Honolulu Jazz Quartet presenting a Tribute to Bird & Dizzy: The Birth of Bebop. Good music runs in the Artis family, so don't miss PraiseJesus Artis in her Blue Note debut. Jazz talent Abe Lagrimas Jr. is up next, followed by the Na Hoku “Female Vocalist of the Year” Kimié Miner. Paula Fuga returns with a tribute to Aretha Franklin and soul-singer DeAndre Brackensick is back with Shawn Pimental. We welcome Willie K back to the stage following a successful mainland tour and present the Blue Note debut of Kamuela Kahoano. The youngest of the family, Rodney Cazimero joins us later in the month followed by local giants Kumuhau,Brother Noland & John Cruz and Kuana Torres Kahele presenting 'Kakuhihewa, his tribute to O'ahu.

The Beach Boys' Then & Now Tour Heads to the Majestic Theatre

The Beach Boys are bringing good vibrations to the Majestic Theatre (224 E. Houston St) with their newly announced tour, Then & Now, stopping in San Antonio, TX on March 19, 2019 at 8PM. This tour comes as The Beach Boys mark over half a century of making music, continuing to ride the crest of a wave unequalled in America's musical history. Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 31 at 10AM.

Superfonicos Announce Debut Release, Suelta

Austin, TX based band Superfónicos is the musical meeting point between Colombia, Africa and the U.S. Their debut E.P. Suelta, which is set for release on October 5th, pays homage to all three locales with a foundation in Cumbia, sprinkled with healthy doses of Afrobeat and marinated in the school of funk. The fast rising eight piece act has also been confirmed to play the Austin City Limits Music Festival (Weekend Two) on Sunday, October 14th.

Atmosphere And J Boog To Perform At Mandalay Bay Beach Today

Hip-hop duo Atmosphere will take the stage at Mandalay Bay Beach this summer in a special one-night performance today, August 24 as part of Mandalay Bay's Concerts on the Beach 2018 summer lineup sponsored by Coors Light and Pepsi. The group will be joined by Samoan reggae singer J Boog. Tickets go on sale this Today, June 29 at 10 a.m.

Emmy-Nominated Writer and Producer Kenya Barris Signs Overall Deal with Netflix

Netflix welcomes Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated writer and producer Kenya Barris. Barris has entered into a multi-year overall deal to produce new series exclusively at Netflix, starting today, August 16. Under the deal, Barris will write and executive produce all projects through his production company, Khalabo Ink Society.

Electronica Artist GAUDI Remixes 'Scars' By Johny Dar

Italian-born, London-based producer, composer and musician Gaudi has remixed experimental and innovative artist Johny Dar's single, 'Scars' set for release on 24th August via Dar The Music. During his decade-spanning career through which he has released more than 16 albums, 250 productions and 90 remixes, Gaudi has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including The Orb, Bob Marley, Scissor Sisters, and Simple Minds. His eclectic use of cross-genre production has gained him considerable recognition throughout the world as he brings together fans of electronica, dub and reggae. Gaudi has been featured in major publications the world over including Pop Matters, Clash Music, Louder Sound, Louder Than War to name a few and received airplay from the likes of BBC Music 6's Don Letts.
