The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the writers for the Songwriters Showcase, which will be Co-hosted by David Zippel & Dee Hoty as well as additional casting for the eight musicals in the 21st Annual Festival of New Musicals at New World Stages (340 West 50th St) on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20, 2009.

Playwrights Horizons will present private readings of MRS. SHARP, a new musical with Book by Kirsten Guenther and Music & Lyrics by Jonathan Larson Grant recipient Ryan Scott Oliver. SHARP, a new musical (Winner of the Richard Rodgers Award for Staged Readings, administered by the American Academy of Arts and Letters) with Book by Kirsten Guenther and Music & Lyrics by Jonathan Larson Grant recipient Ryan Scott Oliver. The hit, online television series THE BATTERY'S DOWN, presented an evening of musical comedy at Joe's Pub entitled: SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE: musical comedy... rethought. April 19th. The evening was directed by Connor Gallagher with musical direction by Adam Laird and was produced by Jake Wilson and Jason Knight.
