The Cleveland Orchestra has announced a new five-year extension of Franz Welser-Möst's contract as Music Director, continuing a partnership that began in 2002 to 2027. The announcement was made at Severance Hall in Cleveland at the Gala Concert opening the Orchestra's 2019-20 season.

The 19-time Grammy-Awarded, 2018 Downbeat Readers Poll-winning Count Basie Orchestra will bring the most danceable swing of the Big Band era to Musco Center for the Arts on Thursday, October 17 at 7:30pm. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced the nominations for the 2019 Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Television Craft Awards. These awards reward the very best in television craft and television programmes broadcast in the UK in 2018. The Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards ceremony will be held at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 12 May with the British Academy Television Craft Awards taking place two weeks earlier on Sunday 28 April at The Brewery, London.

The Cleveland Orchestra has announced an extension of Assistant Conductor Vinay Parameswaran's contracts. The agreement continues Parameswaran's tenure with the Orchestra for two years through the 2020-21 season. He will continue to hold the Elizabeth Ring and William Gwinn Mather Assistant Conductor Endowed Chair. A concurrent agreement extends Parameswaran's role as Music Director of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra through the same period.

Matthew Broderick was a guest on today's episode of 'Live with Kelly and Ryan.' During the interview, Broderick talks about heading to London to make his West End stage debut in he Starry Messenger by Kenneth Lonergan.

The Producers Guild of America has announced the nominees for its 31st Annual Producers Guild Awards, to be presented at the Fairmont Century Plaza hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday, January 18, 2020.

Management and Musicians of The Cleveland Orchestra have successfully concluded negotiations for a new three-year trade agreement for the 2018/2019, 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons. The agreement was ratified by the members of the Orchestra through a vote which took place at the end of last week and weekend.

Liam Neeson and Kate Walsh will star in 'Honest Thief' according to Deadline. The film will be directed by Mark Williams in Boston next month. Williams co-created the hit Netflix series 'Ozark.' 

Netflix's acclaimed drama series Ozark has been renewed for a third season and will consist of 10 episodes.
