PICT launches its 2012 season with the Pittsburgh premiere of Sarah Ruhl's Pulitzer finalist In the Next Room or the vibrator play. The production features Brad Heberlee as Dr. Givings, Megan McDermott as Catherine Givings, Jessica Frances Dukes as Elizabeth, and Melinda Helfrich as Sabrina Daldry. Alan Stanford directs.

Three performing troupes from the Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) have been selected to perform at Walt Disney World during the upcoming April school vacation week. Broadway Bound, Broadway Light and the CenterStage dance company will entertain large Disney audiences and have the opportunity to take master classes with Disney performers and directors. FSPA will feature these troupes on Saturday, April 7 in a Disney Showcase, to be performed at 7:00 p.m. at the Franklin Lodge of Elks, 1077 Pond Street. Ticket proceeds will help defray travel and workshop expenses for the Disney-bound performers.

Mercer Auditorium, 224 Oak Street, Franklin. Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans are to join the cast of Ghost The Musical to play Molly and Sam in Matthew Warchus' stage musical version of the Academy Award® winning film. Ghost The Musical opened at the Piccadilly Theatre in the West End in June this year where it has subsequently been playing to packed houses. Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans join Sharon D Clarke as Oda Mae Brown and Andrew Langtree as Carl who continue in the roles they originated on stage when the production premiered. Ghost The Musical is currently booking until 13 October 2012

Thirteen talented young performers were recently selected by audition for Electric Youth, a dynamic ensemble of singer-dancers trained at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts.

Electric Youth will depart for a month-long European concert tour on June 18th. Trained at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts, Electric Youth is an ensemble of eighteen talented singer-dancers backed by a professional eight-piece band of Boston-based musicians.
