The most anticipated premiere during this theatrical season is 'Shakespeare in Love' presented by Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre. Lee Hall's stage adaptation of the Oscar-winning film will take place on the main stage of Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre on May 11 and 12, 2018.

Goodspeed Musicals is thrilled to announce three enticing productions planned for Chester, Conn. in 2018. First will be the inspiring You Are Here by Drama Desk Award nominees Bartram and Hill. This soaring musical will run May 18 - June 10. Next up will be a new musical adaptation of the enduring love story Cyrano. This exciting new take on the classic will be adapted by Erica Schmidt in collaboration with the indie band The National. Cyrano will run August 3 - September 2. Finally, A Connecticut Christmas Carol, a musical adaptation of the Dickens holiday classic spiced with the flavor of the Nutmeg State, returns to The Terris Theatre November 30 - December 30, 2018.
New CLASSICS ON TOUR Visits 14 Venues with the Tale of Huck Finn

Great Lakes Theater (GLT) will launch a new Classics on Tour production of HUCK FINN, a free touring show scheduled to visit fourteen neighborhood libraries and other public venues throughout northeast Ohio. The one-act play is based on Mark Twain's classic novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, adapted by Eric Schmiedl and directed by GLT Director of Educational Programming Lisa Ortenzi. It features a touring company of four artists. The tour commences on February 6th, continues through March 3rd and is a classics-inspired, educational performance for families and school-aged children (recommended for third-eighth grade) with a strong message of cooperation, acceptance and choosing peaceful solutions. All public performances of the touring production are free and open to the public.

DORIAN GREY Moves to '70s NYC in City Lit Adaptation

Paul Edwards's world premiere adaptation of THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY, Oscar Wilde's story of a man who sells his soul for unaging beauty, transports the story from the novel's setting of Victorian-era England to 1970's New York City, during the dawning of the AIDS and crack cocaine epidemics. THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY, to be directed by Andrea J. Dymond, will feature Javier Ferreira (Shakespeare in HER MAJESTY'S WILL and Henry Olney in NORTHANGER ABBEY, both at Lifeline) in the title role. Gabriel Fries, who recently appeared in Nothing Without a Company's THE KID THING, will be Basil, the painter of the eponymous portrait that on the canvas not only shows its subject aging, but also shows Gray's sins, while in life Gray himself remains young and attractive.

Theatre Raleigh's Family Series is back and better than ever! Last year they welcomed more than 2,000 young people and their families into their audience, and they are expected to exceed that this season. They will be bringing back last year's breakout hit, A Midsummer Night's Dream (March 2- 18) and follow that with the premiere of a brand new show Adventure Road: A Story of Huck & Tom (April 13-29).
