THE 14TH STREET Y is pleased to announce the return of A WONDERFULLY FLAT THING, after a sold-out engagement last Spring. Created by Manju Shandler and Basmat Hazan, adapted by Valerie Work, Manju Shandler, and Basmat Hazan A WONDERFULLY FLAT THING, directed by David Winitsky* will play a selected weekends in December 2010 and January 2011. Performances begin Saturday, December 18 and continue through Sunday, January 16.
Burning Coal Celebrates Mark Twain, 11/30

As part of a national celebration of all things Mark Twain, Burning Coal Theater Company of Raleigh, in collaboration with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ron Powers, will present Powers' new play Sam and Laura on November 30. This one-time staged reading in Pittman Auditorium at St. Mary's School in Raleigh begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets - only available at the door - are $15 and $10 for students.

The New York premiere of PLAY DEAD, a new Off-Broadway thriller co-written and directed by Teller of Penn & Teller and co-written & performed by Todd Robbins, began performances at Off-Broadway's Players Theater 115 MacDougal Street at Minetta Lane on Thursday, October 21 for an open-ended run. The official press opening was Wednesday, November 10.
