Monday night at the upstairs library at The Player's Club, young actor/vocalist Evan Stern collaborated with one of cabaret's treasures, the veteran pianist/arranger/vocalist Steve Ross on a show illuminating the influence of a southern upbringing on the work of iconic songwriter and Savannah, Georgia native Johnny Mercer. On Thursday, June 25, Fulton Theatre named Lancaster Mennonite High School as the 2015 Beth Bash Award recipient for their production of William Shakespeare's 'The Tempest.'  Play director Danielle Hofstetter will accept the award plaque prior to the evening performance of "The Wizard of Oz".  The student actors and crew were awarded complimentary tickets to the performance, and will be recognized and hailed with praise. 

The 65th Music Circus season continues with the dynamic musical Big River, Mark Twain's masterwork 'The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' brought to toe-tapping musical life by the genius behind 'King of the Road,' Roger Miller. Performances are tonight, June 23 through Sunday, June 28.

Tom Sawyer, his Aunt Polly, and Huckleberry Finn leave their St. Petersburg, Missouri home to pay a visit to Polly's sister, Sally and her husband Silas on their farm in Arkansas. On this trip, Tom and Huck encounter thievery, a dead body and possibly the wrong man being accused of murder. Leave it to Tom to figure it all out and save the day in 'Tom Sawyer, Detective.'
