 The nationally regarded Fulton Theatre adds five performances to the existing run of In The Heights as presales break records. Added performances include Sunday, March 19 at 7:30 pm, Thursday, March 23 at 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 2 at 7:30 pm, Monday, April 3 at 7:30 pm and Tuesday, April 4 at 7:30 pm. In The Heights must close April 4.

The BAD BOY Comes Home to Strawbery Banke Museum, 3/31 - 4/9

Pontine Theatre presents its original staging of  The Story of a Bad Boy by Thomas Bailey Aldrich.  This classic story of a boy's adventures takes place in the semi-fictional town of Rivermouth (Portsmouth NH).  The production is underwritten by Optima Bank & Trust.  Performances take place  at Strawbery Banke Museum (14 Hancock Street) on Friday March 31 @7pm, Saturday April 1 & 8 @4pm, and Sunday April 2 & 9 @2pm. Tickets ($24) may be purchased online at www.pontine.org. Tickets may also be purchased at the door a half-hour prior to each show, based on availability.  With an innovative use of puppetry and projected images, Pontine Co-Artistic Directors, Greg Gathers and Marguerite Mathews, tell the autobiographical story of a lively boy and his companions in mid-19th century Portsmouth, where Aldrich was sent to live under the watchful eyes of his grandfather. Aldrich's boyhood home, now part of Strawbery Banke Museum, will be open to audience members following each performance.

SPACE on Ryder Farm, a non-profit artist residency program located on Ryder Farm, an idyllic 221 year-old working organic farm in Brewster, NY, announces its lineup for the 2017 Working Farm Reading Series to be held at Playwrights Horizons in New York City April 3-7, 2017. All readings are free, and farm-fresh bites inspired by the plays and prepared by SPACE chefs will be served at each reading.

Casting and Production Crew Announced for THE LIAR

Casting has been announced for The Liar, David Ives's "translaptation" of Pierre Corneille's 1643 farce of the same name, according to Ed Rutherford, the Promethean Theatre Ensemble artistic associate who is directing the production. The title character, Dorante, a charming young man who cannot tell the truth, will be played by Josh Hambrock. Dorante's love interest Clarice (who he believes to be named Lucrece, the name of her friend who will be played by Katherine Schwartz) will be played by ensemble member Meghann Tabor.

Robert Dubac's THE BOOK OF MORON Off Broadway Hit

Returning to the North Coast Repertory stage on March 20th and 21st 2017 is Robert Dubac's Off-Broadway solo hit, THE BOOK OF MORON.  This comedy show has been described as one of the most "Hilarious," "Intelligent" and "Scorching" satirical attacks on idiocracy since Mark Twain. (And "idiocracy" isn't even a word. How dumb is that?) Combining theatre with stand-up Dubac buckles us up for a fast-paced joy ride over the pot-holed highways of cultural hypocrisy.
