Plans are underway for Wyoming Theater Festival (WyoTF) to return for a 2019 summer season - and beyond - continuing its commitment to "New Plays in the New West," artistic director DannyLee Hodnett announced. Building on a tradition that began in 2015, the 2019 Wyoming Theater Festival will take place Aug. 8-18, 2019 in Sheridan, WY. Artists, titles and venues will be announced at a later date.

Amas Musical Theatre is 50! During the coming year, the company will offer a wide array of programming devoted to continuing its mission of promoting cultural diversity in American musicals. A full schedule of events is listed below.

Boston Court Performing Arts Center presents the West Coast premiere of Her Portmanteau written by Mfoniso Udofia and directed by Gregg T. Daniel, May 24 - June 30, 2018 (press opening June 2).  The production stars Joyce Guy (Abasiama), Omoze Idehenre (Adiaha) and Dele Ogundrian (Iniabasi).

A Classic Broadway Mother's Day, special Mother's Day performance of the ongoing concert series An Evening of Classic Broadway, now in its 5th year, takes place on Sunday, May 13th at Rockwell Table and Stage in Los Angeles. Doors open at 4:30 for the 6PM show. Music Director/Master of Ceremonies Brad Ellis and Presenter Fraser Entertainment Group showcase a new cast with each performance, this one consisting of parents and their offspring.

Skora Productions in association with the Whitefire Theatre opened its world premiere comedy DAMAGED FURNITURE written by Howard Skora, directed by Jim Fall on Saturday, March 24, 2018. The play runs Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm, now through May 26, at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks.

Boston Court Performing Arts Center presents The Harp Twins.  Due to popular demand, a second performance has been added on September 14 at 8:00pm.  As the world's only identical twin professional harpists, the vivacious Camille and Kennerly are classically trained and share a passion for arranging and performing rock, metal, and soundtrack music, all on their exceptionally elegant instruments.

North Coast Repertory Theatre launches Season 37 with an intriguing array of riotous comedy, a powerful family drama, a suspense-filled Sherlock Holmes mystery, an eye-opening personal conversation between a U.S. and Soviet arms negotiators, and a colorful musical from the creators of the legendary Broadway musical Guys and Dolls. Boston Court Performing Arts Center announces the extension of their reimagined modern take of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire. Due to audience demand, the production will now play through April 1, 2018. This radical re-envisioning of Streetcarfeatures a multicultural cast and modern setting, pushing on the play's present-day relevance.

Boston Court Performing Arts Center presents Joanna Wallfisch: A Musical Portrait on Saturday, February 10 at 8:00pm. This concert will explore two extraordinary musical journeys. Her multimedia musical memoir, The Great Song Cycle Song Cycle is paired with her latest release, Blood and Bone for an intimate concert with the genre-blending singer and composer that the New York Times calls, "Introspective, sensitive and deep."

Boston Court Performing Arts Center presents a reimagined modern take of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire (February 15 - March 25, 2018; press opening, February 24). The community panels and discussions have been announced for this radical re-envisioning of Streetcar which will feature a multicultural cast and modern setting, pushing on the play's present-day relevance. This selection of panel discussions and post-show Illuminations will allow for a deep discussion on A Streetcar Named Desire and its many prevalent themes, especially in regards to this production, which is presented within a contemporary and urban environment, highlighting the pertinence of the play for our divided America.

Another Roll of the Dice, the new musical by librettist Mark Saltzman that marries songs by Frank Loesser and characters created by Damon Runyon, plays Sept. 7-17 in a workshop production at Wyoming Theater Festival in Sheridan, WY. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
