2016 NBA Finals to Tip Off Exclusively on ABC Today

The 2016 NBA FINALS - the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James - tip off today, June 2, at 9 p.m. ET exclusively on ABC. Weeknight NBA FINALS broadcasts will begin at 9 p.m. ET, while Sunday broadcasts will start at 8 p.m. Every game will be preceded by a 30-minute, on-site edition of the NBA COUNTDOWN pre-game show on ABC. The NBA FINALS will be available on ABC, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Radio and via WatchESPN. (The full game and telecast schedule is in the table below). This is the 14th NBA FINALS on ABC, dating back to 2003.

ESPN to Exclusively Air 2016 NBA Eastern Conference Finals

ESPN will exclusively televise the 2016 NBA Eastern Conference Finals presented by Verizon: the defending Eastern Conference Champion Cleveland Cavaliers, led by LeBron James, vs. either the Miami Heat and Dwyane Wade or the Toronto Raptors and Kyle Lowry

ESPN and ABC to Air Six NBA Playoffs Conference Semifinals this Week

ESPN and ABC will combine to televise six 2016 NBA Playoffs' Western and Eastern Conference Semifinals games this week. The Miami Heat and Dwyane Wade will visit the Toronto Raptors and Kyle Lowry for Round 2 / Game 2 on Thursday, May 5 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Cutting Ball Theater Names New Artistic Director

San Francisco's cutting-edge Cutting Ball Theater today announced that after a productive year-long sabbatical, which included directing Much Ado About Nothing at the Old Globe Theater as well as Ondine and A Dreamplay at Cutting Ball, co-founder and Artistic Director, Rob Melrose, has decided to officially step down as Artistic Director to continue to focus on his creative work and freelance projects.

NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC is Most-Watched Regular-Season Game Since 2013

The Feb. 27 edition of NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC presented by La Quinta – the Golden State Warriors defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-118 in overtime – averaged 5,322,000 viewers (p2+) making it the most-watched NBA regular-season telecast on any network since 2013

Aurora Theatre Company to Present ORIGINATE + GENERATE

Berkeley's Aurora Theatre Company announces the company's new works initiative to promote the creation of forward-looking theater, Originate + Generate. After a successful 10-year run, the Global Age Project festival of new works has evolved and shifted focus from discovery to development, including commissions, workshops, readings, and full productions of new plays. Every year, theater artists will be selected and given the opportunity to create new work via processes of their own devising. They will receive the financial support, resources, and physical space to create works specifically for Aurora's stages. Special consideration will be given to local theater artists. Aurora Theatre Company is pleased to announce that the first O+G two artists are Jonathan Spector with The State of Nature and Beth Wilmurt with Cabaret Olga. During the creation process, audiences will be invited to attend various workshops and presentations as the works are being created as well as a series of pop-up readings by other theater makers.

Aurora Theatre Company to Stage World Premiere of LITTLE ERIK

Aurora Theatre Company continues its 24th season with the World Premiere of LITTLE ERIK. Written and directed by award-winning Bay Area auteur Mark Jackson (The Letters, The Arsonists, Salomania), LITTLE ERIK features Marilee Talkington, Joe Estlack, Wilma Bonet, Greg Ayers, Mariah Castle, and Jack Wittmayer. LITTLE ERIK plays January 29 through February 28 at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley. For tickets ($32-60) and information the public can call (510) 843-4822 or visit auroratheatre.org.

ESPN Airs Golden State Warriors Telecast Tonight

ESPN has added another Golden State Warriors telecast to its schedule. The undefeated Warriors (22-0 through Dec. 7) will host the Phoenix Suns tonight, December 16 at 10:30 p.m. ET.
