The Marlowe Theatre has been chosen as the launch venue for a major new UK tour of WAR HORSE.

Director of Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Samuel Hodges, today announces the inaugural production at NST City - the world premiere of Howard Brenton's The Shadow Factory . Hodges' production opens on 15 February, with previews from 7 February, and runs until 3 March.

Rehearsals began this week for the 34-strong cast of a major tour UK tour of the National Theatre's internationally acclaimed production of War Horse, which begins performances on 15 September 2017 (with press night on 3 October) at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury and continues on a 15 city tour until February 2019.

The Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, the Smithsonian's museums of Asian Art in Washington, will be transformed into a spectacular public artwork by the Tony Award-winning artists, 59 Productions, to celebrate the renovation and reopening of the two museums in October.

The National Theatre's today (17 May 2017 ) announced the 34 strong cast for its acclaimed production of War Horse which begins a major tour of the UK on 15 September 2017.

FOX has made a pilot production commitment to the single camera comedy THIN ICE from Liz Meriwether, it was announced today by David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

CITY OF GLASS, the first part of Paul Auster's landmark three-part novel, The New York Trilogy, will be brought vividly to life in spring 2017 in a dazzlingly original stage adaptation by Tony Award-winning 59 Productions (An American in Paris, War Horse, David Bowie Is) and Olivier Award-nominated playwright Duncan Macmillan (People, Places and Things, 1984). The production premieres at Manchester's HOME in March and then plays London's Lyric Hammersmith from April. It's one of two major theatre commissions for HOME's new season, the other being David Watson's version of Ibsen's GHOSTS, directed by Polly Findlay.

Multi award-winning artists 59 Productions, the team behind the video design of the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games, have joined forces with the BBC Proms and internationally acclaimed cellist, Sol Gabetta, to create a brand new film, 'Cello', to celebrate the 2016 BBC Proms season. After eight record breaking years, the National Theatre has announced the final extension of its West End run of WAR HORSE, with a last performance at the New London Theatre scheduled for 12 March 2016. 

At the New London Theatre, the proud home of Michael Morpurgo's much celebrated War Horse, the National Theatre's acclaimed stage production recently extended bookings for the West End production to 13 February 2016. In its eighth year, and having now been seen by over 6 million worldwide, a new cast of 26 actors and 12 puppeteers joined the company this month led by the show's equine star Joey.

Today 20 September 2014 at 2pm the National Theatre's internationally acclaimed award-winning stage production of Michael Morpurgo's War Horse will hold a relaxed performance at the New London Theatre in association with The National Autistic Society (NAS), the UK's leading charity for people with autism and their families.
