Rover Dramawerks has announced their Fifteen Season of plays "off the beaten path." The fact that this will be their first full season in their new theatre venue makes this milestone anniversary even more special. Rover will present seven plays and two One Day Only 24-hour play festivals, starting with The Fourth Wall, by A. R. Gurney, directed by Andi Allen, running October 23 - November 15, 2014.

I wanted to take a moment and thank you for making our theatre company MBS Productions one of the most critically acclaimed companies in the North Texas area.

Marianela, A Play with Songs, adapted to the stage by Mark-Brian Sonna with music by various composers, will run with MBS Productions now throgh April 26, 2014.

The Board of Directors and Executive Director/Producer/Founder of THE COLUMN Awards Organization, John Garcia, have announced that Tony Award nominee, Broadway sensation Orfeh will be their special guest star and Co-host for the 14th Annual COLUMN Awards Gala. The extrava When the 15th annual COLUMN Award nominations were announced Sunday evening history was being made as the organization has completely retooled and reorganized their voting process. Theatre Three leads the Equity field with 37 nominations while Mainstage-Las Colinas leads the Non-equity field with 31 nominations.

Next week is Halloween! DANTE: INFERNO has a special performance that night. All audience members receive a goodie bag full of tricks and treats plus a ticket for a future show! You are welcome to come in costume. The show will have a costume contest at intermission. All participants receive an additional prize and the winner gets a Season Punch Card good for 6 admissions to any of our shows this season.

Dante is given a tour through the different circles of hell. As he descends further into the underworld it he finds himself slowly descending into madness and that the souls and demons he encounters aren't going to allow him to escape. This ground breaking theatrical production of Dante's Poem is done in modern English making it accessible and understandable to modern audiences. Original premiere in 2008.

The Dallas Opera has announced that mezzo-Soprano Susan Nicely will portray twentieth-century culinary icon Julia Child in composer Lee Hoiby's BON APPÉTIT! The one-act operetta, with a libretto by Mark Shulgasser and support from The Perot Foundation Education and Community Outreach Programs, is based on two episodes from Julia Child's popular cooking show in which she concocts a chocolate cake.

Performances are tonight, August 23 - September 15, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., with an additional matinee performance on Saturday, September 1 at 2:00 p.m.
