This fun French comedy takes place in the 1930's in the kingdom of Andorra. It is about young princess, Leonilde, who dresses up as a man to sneak into a home to be with the man she loves, Agis. He doesn't recognize her disguise, and to his dismay he discovers himself to be quite attracted to what he thinks is a man. On top of all of this, another woman falls in love with her, and when discovered by the philosopher Hermocrates that she is actually a woman in disguise he falls in love with her, too. She ends up having to juggle the three.

Triumph of Love is considered to be one of Pierre Marivaux's most famous plays. It premiered in Paris in 1732. The original production received negative reviews, yet within a short span of time it was hailed as a masterpiece. It is now considered as one of the greatest comedies in French Theatre.

The play is translated by Mark-Brian Sonna who received national praise in the press in 2012 for his translation of Marivaux's The Game of Love and Chance which was called "a sophisticated triumph." (newstouse.org)

The play is directed by Charles Ballinger, the former director of Casa Manana Musicals, and stars Klarice P. McCarron, Jason Kyle Harris, Charli Armstrong, David Swanner, Joel Frapart, Nancy Lamb, and Mark-Brian Sonna.
