Musicals Tonight! continues its ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys and Understudies with its next edition of At This Performance… to be held on Monday, October 20th at New York's McGinn/Cazale Theatre. The evening celebrates the popular concert series' 5th Anniversary.

On Monday, October 6 at 8:00 p.m. in Zankel Hall, The Carnegie Hall Notables hosted REVIVAL: Broadway's Next Act, a panel discussion focusing on the fresh approach that composers have recently introduced to Broadway, attracting audiences through a new range of media, from YouTube to MTV.

All signs indicate that 'Hairspray' will end it's successful run on January 18th, 2009. Official word is expected at any moment, there is also a strong chance that Harvey Fierstein will return to his Tony Winning role of Edna Turnblad to help the show go out in style.

Broadway fans are invited to SIRIUS Live on Broadway with host Seth Rudetsky at the Broadway Concierge & Ticket Center each Wednesday at 12 noon ET to watch interviews and performances with their favorite Broadway stars. Tomorrow, Wednesday October 1st, Seth welcomes Hairspray stars Constantine Rousouli and Marissa Perry live and in person at 12:00PM.

The following day, Friday August 15th the casts of The Lion King, Enter Laughing, Hairspray, Godspell & Forbidden Broadway will be performing.

It's the third Broadway show for Sarah Jane, and the second time this former beauty pageant winner is understudying a Kristin Chenoweth part.
