Arcelus, Block, Boggess and Morrison Sing Green's Songs at Birdland July 14th

 Jim Caruso's Cast Party and TheaterMania.com announce Mr. Green'S OPUS: THE SONGS OF David Green Monday, July 14, 2008 at 7:00p.m., as part of the long-running, Nightlife Award-winning concert series Broadway at Birdland.

Some of Broadway’s elite talent including Sebastian Arcelus (Jersey Boys, Rent), Stephanie J. Block (Wicked, The Boy from Oz), Sierra Boggess (The Little Mermaid), Matthew Morrison (South Pacific, The Light In The Piazza) and Marissa Perry (Hairspray) will be joined by David Green to showcase some of his most celebrated works, both past and present.

DAVID GREEEN is a writer and lyricist who put aside his pen and paper for nearly two decades to help some of Broadway's most celebrated artists find their voices and reach for their dreams.  For the past twenty years he has trained and mentored young musical theatre performers with aspirations for careers on Broadway, including Tony nominees Susan Egan and Matthew Morrison, Stephanie J. Block, Krysta Rodriguez, Lindsay Mendez, Anneliese VanDerPol and more.

GREEN has written lyrics for both the stage and television and for such stars as Tony Orlando, Debbie Reynolds, John Raitt, Cathy Rigby and Liberace.  Mr. Green will be joined by his collaborators, John Glaudini and MICHEAL BORTH, and a few of his talented alums and “extended Broadway family” for an unforgettable evening of trunk songs and the debut of several numbers from his new musical, How The Nurse Feels.
