Director and playwright Stan Zimmerman has found his quartet of actors for his new comedy Knife to the Heart, co-written with Christian McLaughlin. The show will play a limited run of 3 WEEKS ONLY for 9 performances (May 4-20) at the Dorie Theatre, part of The Complex on LA's famed Theatre Row (6476 Santa Monica Blvd, LA CA 90038). Show times are Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 3pm. The cast includes Chelsea Kane ('Baby Daddy'), Todd Sherry ('Parks & Recreation'), Josh Zuckerman (A Delicate Ship) and four-time Emmy-nominee Patricia Richardson ('Home Improvement'). Celebration Theatre has announced a limited return engagement of Ryan O'Connor's Vote, Pray, Love, O'Connor's first cabaret show since his highly lauded autobiographical debut Ryan O'Connor Eats His Feelings in 2009. With musical direction by Emily Rosenfield and Andy Arena and directed by Tony Award-winner Marissa Jaret Winokur (Hairspray), Vote, Pray, Love, will play four performances only on April 8, 9, 15, and 16.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Broadway's Marissa Jaret Winokur was crowned the winner of CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER on last nights finale episode. Winokur was awarded the grand prize of $250,000, with reality star Ross Matthews in second place winning $50,000.

Broadway's Marissa Jaret Winokur will be joining the cast of Celebrity Big Brother next season, according to Entertainment Weekly. Winokur won the 2003 Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical, Drama Desk Award, Theatre World Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award for her performance as Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray. She had previously appeared on Broadway as Jan in the revival of Grease. She reprised the role of Tracy Turnblad in the Hollywood Bowl production of Hairspray, which ran from August 5-7, 2011.

A LITTLE NEW MUSIC returned to the historic Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood on Monday, August 21st with its fifteenth concert featuring emerging musical theatre artists. Co-hosts, Tony Award winner Marisa Jaret Winokur (HAIRSPRAY) and Ryan O'Connor ('BIG LITTLE LIES,' 'LADYWATCH' podcast), delighted the audience with context and humor between numbers. Gregory Nabours and the dynamic ALNM band (Eric McCann, Emily Rosenfield, and Greg Sadler) provided excellent backup to the singers performing the next generation of musical theatre songs.
