Native Earth Announces Its 2018-2019 Season

Native Earth Performing Arts is thrilled to announce its most ambitious season with a line-up of remarkable artists and exciting new partnerships from across Turtle Island and beyond. From the world premiere of a play with opera, to a theatrical piece of Bouffon and Indigenous clowning, Native Earth's season is filled with music, dance, and multidisciplinary performing arts. Created from stories of resistance, Native Earth welcomes you to witness the richness of contemporary Indigenous art in Aki Studio and beyond.

Leon Fleisher, Yefim Bronfman, and More Lead May At The TSO

The month of May at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) brings masterful guest soloists including Leon Fleisher, Yefim Bronfman, and James Ehnes performing much-loved repertoire such as Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 12, Beethoven's 'Emperor' Concerto, and Brahms's Violin Concerto, while young Canadian violinist Timothy Chooi lends his virtuosity to Vivaldi's The Four Seasons.

Missing and Murdered Aboriginal Women Honoured in Chamber Opera MISSING

City Opera Vancouver with Pacific Opera Victoria presents the world premiere of Missing, a profoundly moving and pivotal opera that sheds new light on a national crisis, November 3,7,9 & 11 at 8pm, and November 5 at 2pm at The York Theatre. Written by distinguished Canadian M tis playwright Marie Clements, with a gripping score by JUNO Award-winning composer Brian Current, this work confronts the immense tragedy of more than 1,200 missing and murdered First Nations, Inuit and M tis women and girls in Canada, and the devastation to communities and families both First Nations and non-First Nations left to grapple with their loss.

Canadian Opera Company Presents A World Of Music And Dance

The Canadian Opera Company's acclaimed Free Concert Series in the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre returns this fall for its 11th season, once again offering a dynamic showcase of Toronto's cultural and artistic diversity. Artists of the COC Ensemble Studio, Canada's premier young artists program, open the season on September 27, 2016 with a highly anticipated performance of their favourite arias and art songs.

Royal Conservatory of Music Presents 21C MUSIC FESTIVAL in Toronto This Weekend

After a successful launch in 2014, the 21C Music Festival returns with a new line-up of artists from today, May 20, to May 24, 2015. The festival will again run over five nights and consist of eight concerts, featuring music composed mostly during the 21st century, which once again crosses boundaries and genres: rock and hip hop musicians share billing with classical artists and the music of seminal electroacoustic pioneer Kaija Saariaho is celebrated.
