WCSU Theatre Arts Department To Present UNCLE VANYA In October

Anton Chekhov's classic 1898 play, 'Uncle Vanya' will come to the stage at Western Connecticut State University this month. Presented by the university's Department of Theatre Arts, performances will be at 8 p.m. on Oct. 12, 13, 19 and 20; with 2 p.m. matinees on Oct. 13, 14, 20 and 21. It will take place in the Studio Theatre of the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the university's Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. General admission is $20.

For the first time, Singapore was treated to a night of Kinky Revolution as the direct from Broadway's national tour of Kinky Boots opened on Friday (5 Oct). It is a complete visual treat with dazzling neon lights, powerful ballads, and costume extravaganza. Amidst it all, it is also a compelling story of acceptance, determination and kindness. Audiences in the Sands Theatre were bursting with laughter and love throughout the night.

THE GIRL IN THE SPIDER'S WEB to Premiere at Rome Film Festival

'The Girl in the Spider's Web' will premiere at the 13th Rome Film Fest. The festival's opening night film will be 'Bad Times at the El Royale.' Pascale Armand to Lead WP Theater's NATURAL SHOCKS

WP Theater has announced that Tony Award Nominee & Obie Award Winner Pascale Armand (Eclipsed, The Trip to Bountiful) will star in the world premiere of Natural Shocks. Written by Lauren Gunderson and directed by May Adrales (Vietgone), the show will play a limited engagement from Saturday, October 28 through Sunday, November 25, with opening night set for Thursday, November 8.

Shakespeare Center Of LA Presents THE TRAGEDIE OF MACBETH

Bernard Labadie Kicks Off Inaugural Season With Orchestra Of St. Luke's 10/25

For his inaugural season as Principal Conductor of Orchestra of St. Luke's, Bernard Labadie has curated a three-concert residency at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage-marking the 32nd year of the OSL series at Carnegie Hall-with a focus on the music and influence of Joseph Haydn. The first concert on Thursday, October 25 at 8:00 p.m., which pairs Haydn's "Nelson Mass" with Mozart's Requiem, K. 626 (revised and completed by Robert Levin), marks OSL's first collaboration with La Chapelle de Quebec, the choir founded and directed by Maestro Labadie. Soloists joining the ensembles on stage include soprano Lauren Snouffer, mezzo-soprano Susan Graham, tenor Lothar Odinius, and bass-baritone Philippe Sly.
