On Monday, October 3, 2011, Bebe Neuwirth will present a special one-time only concert that she is also directing and starring in to benefit the partnership between our organization, Equine Advocates (www.equineadvocates.org) and the Henry Street Settlement (www.henrystreet.org) in lower Manhattan. She and a group of Broadway stars, including Brenda Braxton, Jason Danieley, Marin Mazzie, Roger Rees and Karen Ziemba, in addition to a special performance by the Dontee Dance Company, will present 'Bebe Neuwirth & Friends' at the Abrons Arts Center. City Theatre welcomes Matt M. Morrow as its new Associate Artistic Director. Mr. Morrow joins City Theatre's artistic staff for the 2011-12 Season. In addition to working closely with Artistic Director Tracy Brigden and the artistic staff, Matt will direct the 12th Annual Young Playwrights Festival in September and October and the season play Tigers Be Still by Kim Rosenstock in April.

Bryce Ryness appeared on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning revival of Hair (Woof, Drama Desk nom) and Legally Blonde(Aaron, Emmett u/s). Other credits include the NY premiere of Drama Desk-award winning See Rock City... (Jess/Cutter), Crossing Brooklyn (AJ, Transport Group) and the national tour of Rent (Roger). Los Angeles musical theatre credits include the world premieres of Dangerous Beauty at the Pasadena Playhouse and Leap of Faith at the Ahmanson Theatre, as well as the Los Angeles premiere of Floyd Collins. Bryce fronts a rock band called Ryness and has sung backup for Roger Daltrey, Sarah Brightman, Frankie Valli, Marin Mazzie, and Josh Groban.

When you take your (comfortable) seat in The MAHAIWE Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington Ma. you can't help imagining all the performers that have graced it's stage since it opened as a vaudeville house in 1905. As previously reported, the musical revival of CARRIE, which recently finished up a development lab at MCC on June 7, will get at off-Broadway run at MCC next year. Directed byt Stafford Arima, choreographed by Matt Williams and musical directed by Mary Mitchell-Campell, preview performances will begin at MCC on January 31, 2012. Carrie will be led by the previously announced Tony Award nominee Marin Mazzie (Next to Normal, Kiss Me Kate) as Carrie's evangelical mother, Margaret White, and Molly Ranson (Jerusalem, August: Osage County) as the lonely, vengeful, yet fragile girl at the center of it all.
