On Monday, October 3, 2011, Bebe Neuwirth will present a special one-time only concert that she is also directing and starring in to benefit the partnership between our organization, Equine Advocates (www.equineadvocates.org) and the Henry Street Settlement (www.henrystreet.org) in lower Manhattan. She and a group of Broadway stars, including Brenda Braxton, Jason Danieley, Marin Mazzie, Roger Rees and Karen Ziemba, in addition to a special performance by the Dontee Dance Company, will present 'Bebe Neuwirth & Friends' at the Abrons Arts Center. Also attached is a recent photo of Bebe Neuwirth which is the official photo we are using of her for all of the media, invitations and other printed materials with respect to this event.

City Theatre welcomes Matt M. Morrow as its new Associate Artistic Director. Mr. Morrow joins City Theatre's artistic staff for the 2011-12 Season. In addition to working closely with Artistic Director Tracy Brigden and the artistic staff, Matt will direct the 12th Annual Young Playwrights Festival in September and October and the season play Tigers Be Still by Kim Rosenstock in April.

Reprise Theatre Company presents An Evening With Liz Callaway. It will have one performance only on Monday, September 19 at 8:00 pm, at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.

Named one of New York's 'Best Once-a-Year Markets,' the annual Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction will be held from 10 AM - 7 PM on Sunday, September 25 in Times Square & on West 44th Street. The event is free and open to the public. The Flea Market has long inspired the support of Broadway's most celebrated talent and the first round of this year's line up has just been announced!

Broadway favorite Kristin Chenoweth visited 'The View' this morning, where she announced that she will be returning to the Great White Way in an upcoming revival of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY. Projected opening dates/theater have not yet been announced.

Bryce Ryness appeared on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning revival of Hair (Woof, Drama Desk nom) and Legally Blonde(Aaron, Emmett u/s). Other credits include the NY premiere of Drama Desk-award winning See Rock City... (Jess/Cutter), Crossing Brooklyn (AJ, Transport Group) and the national tour of Rent (Roger). Los Angeles musical theatre credits include the world premieres of Dangerous Beauty at the Pasadena Playhouse and Leap of Faith at the Ahmanson Theatre, as well as the Los Angeles premiere of Floyd Collins. Bryce fronts a rock band called Ryness and has sung backup for Roger Daltrey, Sarah Brightman, Frankie Valli, Marin Mazzie, and Josh Groban.

The John W. Engeman Theater's production of Hairspray will close on August 28, 2011.

Reprise Theatre Company's production of the classic American musical 'Cabaret,' which opens the 2011-2012 Reprise season and plays September 13 to 25 (press opening September 14, 2011) at UCLA's Freud Playhouse, includes a cast of new talents as well as Broadway and West End veterans - Zach Bandler as Ernst Ludwig, Lisa O'Hare as Sally Bowles, Jeff McLean as Cliff Bradshaw, Katrina Lenk as Fräulein Kost, Mary Gordon Murray as Fräulein Schneider, Robert Picardo as Herr Schultz and Bryce Ryness as the Master of Ceremonies.

The Theatre Lab's production of Ragtime, with book by Terrence McNally, music Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, will open August 11.

When you take your (comfortable) seat in The MAHAIWE Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington Ma. you can't help imagining all the performers that have graced it's stage since it opened as a vaudeville house in 1905. No sound system then, just great acoustics. Now Berkshire audiences have the best of both worlds. The theatre has been lovingly restored to it's former self, with the added benefit of state of the art lights & sound.

As previously reported, the musical revival of CARRIE, which recently finished up a development lab at MCC on June 7, will get at off-Broadway run at MCC next year. Directed byt Stafford Arima, choreographed by Matt Williams and musical directed by Mary Mitchell-Campell, preview performances will begin at MCC on January 31, 2012. Carrie will be led by the previously announced Tony Award nominee Marin Mazzie (Next to Normal, Kiss Me Kate) as Carrie's evangelical mother, Margaret White, and Molly Ranson (Jerusalem, August: Osage County) as the lonely, vengeful, yet fragile girl at the center of it all.

The Manhattan Theatre Club's new Broadway production of MASTER CLASS by Terrence McNally, directed by Stephen Wadsworth, began previews on Tuesday, June 14 and opened last night, July 7, to praise at MTC's Samuel J.
