Renowned Television Creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino Ink Overall Deal with Amazon Studios

Amazon today announced that critically-acclaimed multi-hyphenates Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino (Gilmore Girls) have entered a multi-year overall deal with Amazon Studios. Sherman-Palladino and Palladino will develop television projects that will add to their unprecedented two-season greenlight of upcoming Amazon Original Series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which debuts this fall on Prime Video.

Beloved film and television actor Wallace Shawn has signed on to for a guest-starring role in Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino's upcoming Amazon Original Series THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL. Shawn will play Herb Smith, a self-proclaimed comedy writer who 'shapes acts, writes jokes, and eats pastrami.'

Amazon announces it has greenlit THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL for an unprecedented two seasons on Prime Video. The Amazon Original Series, from renowned creator Amy Sherman-Palladino (Gilmore Girls) and Executive Producer Daniel Palladino (Family Guy), is Amazon Studios' first multi-season greenlight of a new series in its history.
MTC & Marin Academy to Co-Produce Jeff Cohen's THE SOAP MYTH

Marin Theatre Company is honored to co-produce a staged reading of Jeff Cohen's The Soap Myth with the Marin Academy today, February 21 at 7:00pm starring the incomparable Ed Asner and Tovah Feldshuh. After last year's successful production at MTC, Marin Academy approached MTC about bringing Mr. Cohen's story to a wider community, most importantly the Academy's student body. The organizations are thrilled to join forces in re-staging this work, with playwright Cohen, Mr. Asner and Ms. Feldshuh on board.
