DOG RUN REP is presenting the world premiere of The Man Who Ate Michael Rockefeller, a new play by Jeff Cohen based on the short story by Christopher Stokes, directed by Alfred Preisser. In 1961, Michael Rockefeller, 23 years old, disappeared among the Asmat People of Papua, New Guinea. He was never heard from again. This is the story of what might have happened, told by the Asmat people. The Man Who Ate Michael Rockefeller will play a four-week limited engagement at the West End Theatre, The Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew, 263 West 86th Street @ West End Avenue. All tickets are $18. Performances begin Friday, September 10 and continue through Sunday, October 3. Opening Night is Sunday, September 12 at 7 pm. Please note the following performance schedule:

The LCT3 production of GRACELAND, a new play by Ellen Fairey, plays at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project, (229 W. 42 Street). Marin Hinkle, David Gelles Hurwitz, Brian Kerwin, Polly Lee and Matt McGrath are featured in the play which is directed by Henry Wishcamper. This New York premiere began previews May 3, and opened Monday, May 17. The production runs through Saturday, May 29. LCT3 is Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences.

The new play is about two adult siblings who reunite to tend to their elderly mother and their astonishment to learn about her long-ago love affair. The Summer Play Festival announces casting for the eagerly anticipated Summer Play Festival (SPF) now celebrating its fifth season in New York. SCR's ten previous Festivals have introduced 57 new plays to the national stage. This year's Festival will include a fully-produced production of What They Have by Kate Robin.
