Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT) the not-for-profit 501c3 community theatre located at 49 York Street in historic downtown Gettysburg, will present Children Of The Battlefield and America The Beautiful running in rotating repertoire July 6-22, 2018. These productions continue the theatre's 10th Season of revivals of some of the theatre's favorite shows. GCT originally presented America The Beautiful and the World Premiere production of Children Of The Battlefield during the 150th Anniversary of The Battle of Gettysburg in 2013.
Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the first ever summer intern production, OBAMA-OLOGY by Aurin Squire, directed by Bay Street's Directing/Producing intern Shea King and starring Bay Street Theater's 2018 Acting Apprentices. This production will run as the first show ever directed, produced, designed, and acted entirely by the summer intern company at Bay Street Theater. Performances run from August 9 - 11, 2018, with twilight performances at 4 pm. Tickets are $12 or $10 for students (available at the Box Office only, with student ID.)

HEARTBREAK HOTEL, the live musical, will make its debut at Broadway In Chicago's Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. The Hollywood Encore! Producers' Awards returns for the ninth year with extended runs of the best of the Hollywood Fringe Festival, starting June 28 thru the end of July at fourteen Hollywood venues. Produced by Matthew Quinn, this year's extensions feature an exciting selection of exceptional ensemble and solo work. With multiple shows per venue each weekend, the action-packed atmosphere of the Hollywood Fringe Festival vibe will continue through July.
Corkscrew Theater Festival presents Desarrollo, written by Juliany Taveras and directed by Manny Rivera. Running July 27-August 5, Desarrollo follows three queer and trans Bronx natives as they grow from exuberant 13-year olds to yearning, unmoored young adults. The creative team and cast consists entirely of queer and trans people of color, bringing the sights and sounds of the Bronx to the stage while wrestling with the disorienting changes that gentrification has brought to the neighborhood.
BroadwayWorld recently announced that stage and screen star Will Chase will join Kelli O'Hara in the Broadway-bound Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Kiss Me, Kate. Roundabout welcomes back longtime friends of the theater: Tony winner Kelli O'Hara who was nominated for her role in the 2006 revival of The Pajama Game opposite Harry Connick, Jr., and Will Chase returns to Roundabout following his Tony nominated role in 2012 revival of The Mystery of Edwin Drood. In 2016, O'Hara and Chase also starred in a sold-out benefit concert reading of Kiss Me, Kate directed by Scott Ellis.

Christine Lahti is headed to New York to star as Gloria Steinem in the world premiere of Gloria: A Life, a new play about Ms. Steinem as a symbol of past, present and future change. The play, written by Tony Award-nominee Emily Mann (Having Our Say), is directed by the visionary Tony Award-winning Diane Paulus (Waitress, Pippin).
Canadian rockers Deadly Apples will join as the main support act for Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson on their forthcoming North American summer tour. The tour, entitled The Twins Of Evil – The Second Coming consists of a 27-date trek across the US from July 11th to August 29th.
