Birdland Jazz Club will present New York, Old Friend-The Songs of Ken Laub, a celebration of the sights, scenes and relationships in New York City, for one night only as part of the "Broadway at Birdland" concert series, on Monday, June 25, 2018 @7pm.

Fresh from the success of their farcical dark comedy 'The Bakery', The Bardic Bastards return to the Hollywood Fringe Festival with a midnight tale of murderous malarkey. The Midnight Menagerie, a new one-act by Brandon Nicholas Pfeltz, is a twistedly funny take on the rotten decisions of the deplorable delinquents that haunt the screens of Hollywood.

Today, Chino Moreno from Deftones releases solo track entitled “Brief Exchange,” inspired by DC Entertainment's new graphic novel DARK NIGHTS: METAL: DELUXE EDITION available now in comic book shops, bookstores and digitally on Tuesday, June 12. This also marks Moreno's first collaboration with DC.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) opens its second show of the Summer Mainstage Season, Murder for Two, a musical whodunit that flawlessly blends classic musical comedy and madcap mystery. This musical homage to classic murder mysteries was an Off-Broadway hit, and won the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Musical Work in 2011. Placido Domingo, LA Opera's Eli and Edythe Broad General Director, announced today that he has chosen the performers who will join LA Opera's Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program in the 2018/19 season. The artists were chosen from 650 applicants, 200 live auditions and, ultimately, 28 final candidates. The finalists auditioned in April for a panel led by Mr. Domingo that included Sebastian Paul and Marybelle Musco President and CEO Christopher Koelsch, the program's Artistic Advisor Susan Graham and Artistic Administrator Samuel Gelber, along with Stephen King, head of vocal instruction for the program, and Nino Sanikidze, head coach for the program.
