Producers Daniel Nardicio and Andy Brattain will honor Edith Piaf, the iconic French songstress on her actual 100th Birthday with PIAF: A CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION with stars from Broadway, London's West End, Jazz, Cabaret and Rock 'n' Roll. Starring Elaine Paige, Christine Ebersole, Marilyn Maye, Vivian Reed, Little Annie, Gay Marshall, Molly Pope, Amber Martin, Aaron Weinstein and Meow Meow, the concert will take place on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 8:00 PM at The Town Hall(123 West 43rd Street).

Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), the not-for-profit professional theatre company, which recently opened its fourth season in its state-of-the-art theatre in Warwick, is pleased to announce their new Cabaret Club.

Richard Jay-Alexander, best known for directing Barbra Streisand and other artists in concert, directed the event, honoring Tony Award-winning costume designer Jane Greenwood, who designed Abingdon's acclaimed production of Hellman v. McCarthy; Abingdon Theatre Company's Vice Chair and former Managing Director, Heather Henderson; and one of New York's most prominent lawyers in entertainment, Mark Sendroff.

NJTV, New Jersey's public television network, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC)  presented the first performance of the American Songbook at NJPAC series and BroadwayWorld was there. Performances will be taped before a live audience in NJPAC's Victoria Theater on Sunday, October 25 and Monday, October 26 for broadcast on NJTV, WLIW and THIRTEEN next year.

Richard Jay-Alexander, best known for directing Barbra Streisand and other artists in concert, is set to direct the event, which begins at 6:00pm.

THE MEETING* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, October 25 at 9:30 PM to continue the Fall 2015 Season. The October 2015 show will feature a celebration of the cult film PRACTICAL MAGIC for Halloween, with special guests Bridget Barkan, Isaac Oliver, Angela DiCarlo, Salty Brine, Carol Lipnik and Marc Dommu. Tracy Stark serves as the show's Music Director.

In the opening concert of Michael Feinstein's Standard Time Series at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall it was all about the lyrics of Johnny Mercer. Mr. Feinstein who is the Artistic Director of Standard Time had as his Special Guest Marilyn Maye, who of course is 'Just To Marvelous For Words'. Tedd Firth was on piano along with Sean Smith , Bass and Mark McLean, drums. As in most of these concerts this Standard Time with Michael Feinstein was sold out and Broadwayworld was there to take you inside.

Jarrod Spector will appear at New Jersey Performing Arts Center in 'The American Songbook' performance on Sunday, October 25th at 7:00 pm.

NJTV and NJPAC present a star-studded line-up of performers for the 3rd season of the award-winning American Songbook at NJPAC Series, hosted by Ted Chapin, and featuring stage and screen star Christine Ebersole, BEAUTIFUL's Tony Award-winner Jessie Mueller and Tony nominee Jarrod Spector, SiriusXM Broadway host/entertainer Seth Rudetsky and WICKED composer Stephen Schwartz over two nights of broadcast tapings.

New Jersey Arts Center will present 'The American Songbook' on Sunday, October 25th at 7:00 pm. The star studded line-up will include Jessie Mueller. Broadwayworld.com had the opportunity to interview Mueller about her career and the upcoming performance.

For the third night of this year's Cabaret Convention at Town Hall, the uber-enthusiastic Karen Mason hosted Life Is a Cabaret (Directed by Barry Kleinbort) in celebration of long time collaborators, composer John Kander and lyricist Fred Ebb. Introduced to each other by their mutual music publisher in 1962, the team's first Broadway show was 1965's Flora the Red Menace in which Liza Minnelli made her Broadway debut and with which the three began a long association. Their last together (Kander is alive and hopefully writing), was 2015's The Visit starring Chita Rivera, a production Ebb (who died in 2004) unfortunately didn't live to see. Kander and Ebb's best known musicals are Cabaret and Chicago, both of which seem to run forever on popular appeal, but they wrote many others, a wide selection of which were represented at Thursday night's show.

The 3rd night of The 26th New YOrk Cabaret Convention at The Town Hall was hosted by Karen Mason and directed by Barry Kleinbort. BroadwayWorld was there for performances by Karen Mason, Sandy Stewart, Bill Charlap, Karen Ziemba, Stearns Matthews, Amra-Faye Wright, Robert Creighton, Sally Mayes, Lina Koutrakos, Jim Brochu, Steve Ross, Lauren Stanford, T.
