Rosie O'Donnell & More to Open Provincetown Dream Season During Memorial Day Weekend

Summer 2015 kicks off with star-power in Provincetown this Memorial Day Weekend. Leading off for Producing Artistic Director Mark Cortale's inaugural Broadway @ Town Hall season is comedian-actress Rosie O'Donnell with Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host, for one show only on Sunday, May 24 at 9:00 PM, and featuring opening guest, indie rocker Melissa Ferrick. Rosie's stage credits include the Broadway productions of "Grease," "Seussical," "Fiddler on the Roof," "Love, Loss and What I Wore," and the Encores! production of "No, No, Nanette." In addition to her acclaimed stand-up comedy and film careers, she is perhaps best known on television as the host and Executive Producer of the Emmy Award winning talk/variety series "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," and more recently for her return to daytime television as co-host of ABC's "The View." Memorial Day weekend also includes the one-two punch of Indie Rock star Melissa Ferrick back for her fifth consecutive season with two shows on May 23 at 6:30 PM & 9:00 PM, and the hysterical brand new drag comedy "Designing Women Meets The Golden Gals" starring Varla Jean Merman, Ryan Landry, Olive Another and Liza Lott will open for a summer-long run on May 23 and 24 at 7:30 PM (running through September 5). Reprising her role from the New Theatre production of Hairspray, Mandy Morris returns to Kansas City as Amber Von Tussle. Hairspray with book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, music by Marc Shaiman, and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Mark Shaiman runs through July 12 at Ithe dinner theater. Dennis D. Hennessy directs the New Theatre production and Richard J. Hinds provides choreography.

SPARKLE & CIRCULATE with JUSTIN SAYRE - the official monthly podcast of the International Order of Sodomites - has posted the seventh episode, which features an in-depth conversation with Carl Siciliano, founder of the Ali Forney Center, which provides shelter and services for homeless LGBT youth. The show is available on iTunes here. Every June, Sayre's event Night of a Thousand Judys honors Judy Garland for Pride and raises money for the organization. Carl explains how the center was formed, who Ali Forney was and the challenges they face with fundraising. The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, May 17 at 9:30 PM to conclude the Spring 2015 Season. The Meeting* has been called 'delicious and delightfully droll' by The New York Post and 'hilarious and sardonic' by The Village Voice. A story for Slate.com called the evening 'so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight.' The Fall 2014 shows sold out after a New York Times 'Arts & Leisure' piece ran last September. Program Directors Shawn Ryan and John Ainsworth announced today that this summer will be their BIGGEST Young Actors' Theatre Camp yet with stars of television, film, and Broadway coming to lead master classes. This year's camp expands into three separate locations including Camp Cazadero in Sonoma County (June 14-23, 2015), Camp MayMac in Santa Cruz County (July 6-16, 2015) and Camp CGC in Auburn County (July 19-29, 2015).

It was the 7th performance of Marilyn's 8 show sold out run of "Her Way" A Salute to Frank Sinatra. The dynamics of the evening made it feel more like a Hockey Play Off Game, with Marilyn scoring goal after goal. The crowd rose to it's feet and cheered after her every song hit the mark of musical perfection. Then, as it became apparent that Marilyn Maye had conquered all, she was presented with the Stanley Cup. Friars Club Dean Emeritus Freddie Roman was led to the stage by Friar Laura Slutsky and "Marvelous Marilyn" was given the Friars Club Frank Sinatra Lifetime Achievement Award. The award states:
