Acclaimed actor and vocalist T. Mychael Rambo hosts fellow cast members from the Guthrie's production of Caroline, or Change in "Caroline's Cabaret" at the Dakota Jazz Club on Monday, May 18 at 7:00 p.m. The Dakota is located at 1010 Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis. This incredible cast is tearing the roof off the Guthrie six nights a week in a show hailed by critics as "an engrossing, must-see event" (Star Tribune) and "pure musical artistry" (Mpls.St.Paul Magazine). For one night only, they'll take to the stage at the Dakota for an intimate cabaret performance where they'll share some of their favorite songs - from jazz standards to blues to show tunes!

Joining Rambo from the cast are vocal powerhouses Jamecia Bennett, Aimee Bryant, Regina Marie Williams, Michelle Barber, Julie Reiber, Nikki Renee Daniels, Felicia Boswell, Lynnea Doublette, AureLia Williams, Thomasina Petrus and Tonia Hughes. These amazing performers boast individual stage credits ranging from Broadway to Los Angeles and locally audiences have enjoyed their performances at Penumbra, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Illusion, Children's Theatre Company, Mixed Blood, Park Square and the Jungle Theater. In addition to being outstanding actors, many of the performers have solo recording careers, including T. Mychael Rambo, Jamecia Bennett, Aimee Bryant, Regina Marie Williams, Thomasina Petrus and Tonia Hughes.

Caroline, or Change, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner's deeply personal story, features music by three-time Tony Award-nominated composer Jeanine Tesori (Shrek the Musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie). The first of three productions presented as part of the Guthrie's Kushner Celebration, the acclaimed musical about race, civil rights and coming of age in the South runs through June 21 on the Wurtele Thrust Stage.

The Guthrie Theater, founded in 1963, is an American center for theater performance, production, education and professional training. The Guthrie is dedicated to producing the great works of dramatic literature, developing the work of contemporary playwrights and cultivating the next generation of theater artists.
