Marin Theatre Company artistic director Jasson Minadakis, managing director Michael Barker and director of new play development Margot Melcon announced today the winners of MTC's two new American play prizes, a program now in its seventh year. Skeleton Crew by Dominique Morisseau won the 2014 Sky Cooper New American Play Prize and Martyna Majok won the 2014 David Calicchio Emerging American Playwright Prize for her play Ironbound. The winners were selected from over 900 eligible submissions.

Joy Behar visited Backstage with Peter LeDonne to talk about the upcoming opening of her new solo play, "Me, My, Mouth and I" which is written and performed by Joy. It will have its world-premiere at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Previews begin Thursday Nov. 6 prior to an official opening which is set for Sunday, Nov. 23. The production will play a limited 7- week engagement through Dec. 21.

BWW Reviews: Uneven DIAL M FOR MURDER Fails to Thrill at OSTC

To start a review with 'it was a dark and stormy night' would probably be as unoriginal as that infamous line itself. On the other hand, in this case, it fits. It was in fact a dark, windswept, rain soaked, stormy night in Warwick when a sizable crowd attended the performance of Ocean State Theatre Company's (OSTC) production of Dial M for Murder. The atmosphere outside the theater was ripe for mystery, suspense and intrigue. Unfortunately, the uneven and mostly average production didn't really live up to the mood set by Mother Nature.
