Anne Frank Oratorio to Debut Through LA Master Chorale this Month

The Passion of Anne Frank, a haunting, major, new oratorio based on the Diary of Anne Frank, with music and lyrics composed by 125 high school students from downtown Los Angeles' Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts, is being premiered by the students in conjunction with the Los Angeles Master Chorale Chamber Singers, professional instrumentalists, and student soloists in free matinee and evening performances on Thursday, January 22, at noon, and Friday, January 23, at 7 pm, at the high school's main auditorium.

Rebecca Naomi Jones, Bobby Steggert & More Will Lead Signature Theatre's BIG LOVE

Signature Theatre has announced casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for BIG LOVE by Charles Mee, directed by Tina Landau. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production runs February 3 through March 15, 2015 with a February 23 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Virginia's Signature Theatre is currently presenting the world premiere of Diner, the musical adaptation of the landmark film with a book by the movie's Academy Award®-winning screenwriter and director Barry Levinson (Rain Man, Bugsy, The Natural) and an original score by nine-time Grammy Award® winnerSheryl Crow. Directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award® Winner Kathleen Marshall (Broadway's Anything Goes, Nice Work If You Can Get It), the production began performances at Signature Theatre's MAX Theatre December 9. Writers Theatre to Present THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, 2/24-5/31

Writers Theatre presents The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, adapted by Wendy Kesselman and directed Kimberly Senior. The show runs February 24 - May 31, 2015 at Books on Vernon, 664 Vernon Avenue, Glencoe. The Press Openings are Wednesday, March 4, and Thursday, March 5, 2014.

Parade Productions to Present UNDO, 1/29-3/1

Imagine a world where in order to "undo" the tying of the matrimonial knot, the ceremony has to be re-enacted … in reverse. Playwright Holly Arsenault creates such a world of divorce drama in her dramedy, Undo. Joe and Rachel Pfeiffer are getting divorced by running their wedding, in all its details, backwards. The exception? Instead of food, there's liquor, and all things spill out!

Riccardo Muti to Perform Concerts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra This January

Riccardo Muti, Music Director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, returns in January 2015 for several weeks of concerts with the CSO at both Symphony Center and Carnegie Hall. Muti's winter residency begins with performances in Chicago—on January 15, 16 and 17—of Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 2, featuring pianist Yefim Bronfman. The program closes with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 1 (Winter Daydreams), part of the complete cycle of Tchaikovsky symphonies that Muti leads in the current season.
