Frederick Knott's Dial M for Murder is a psychological thriller - a character driven, carefully plotted, 'cat-and mouse' piece of theatre that is as contemporary now as it was when it first premiered on BBC television in 1952.  Stage Door Theatre's production of Dial M for Murder will open tonight, October 30th, and run through December 6th.

There will almost be as much couture candy to see in the audience as there will be on the runway as Dallas fashionistas gather at FIRST SIGHT FASHION SHOW AND LUNCHEON, The Dallas Opera's fantastic 2015-2016 Season kick-off event! The C. Vincent Prothro Lobby in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House will be transformed into a fashion venue complete with runway and Dallas' most glamorous models donning designs. Featured will be the latest from British luxury brand Mulberry, for which a boutique opened this year at NorthPark Center. The extravagant event is chaired by Ellen and Don Winspearwith Honorary chairs Mrs. Micki Rawlings and The Honorable Michael S. Rawlings; Mrs. Rawlings is also the luncheon chair.         

 Can a play show us the very truth and nature of the world's greatest playwright? As the Bard's legacy is celebrated around the globe in 2016 with Shakespeare 400, the boisterous new comedy Shakespeare in Love takes a glorious stab at doing just that. But with little known of Shakespeare beyond the dates of his birth and death - both April 23 - the fun is all in the imagining.

Ballet Memphis, under the artistic direction of Dorothy Gunther Pugh, will return to New York City's Joyce Theater (175 Eighth Avenue) for the first time since 2007 for a limited run this October. Performances begin Tuesday,October27th and run through Sunday, November 1st.

'[Thank you] to an incredible cast of British and American actors who make the Atlantic look like a little creek you can just kind of pop across,' said Dame Helen Mirren upon receiving her 2015 Tony Award. This fall, Broadway will welcome a slew of British actors- some of whom will be making their US stage debuts in incoming productions. And it's not just performers. We're getting some complete British imports in shows like A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE and KING CHARLES III. Below, we're taking a moment to shine a spotlight on this season's British imports.

'The Diary of Anne Frank' is now onstage at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey through November 21st. Directed by Joseph Discher, this moving theatrical piece is impeccably performed. It is a must-see this fall.

A new adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol will begin performances on Wednesday, December 16th at The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). This limited holiday engagement runs through Wednesday, December 23, 2015.

Bay Area Cabaret, the non-profit organization devoted to presenting internationally renowned artists who expand the definition of cabaret, announce a special event-a return engagment by Tony Award winning Broadway and television star Annaleigh Ashford, performing April 24 in San Francisco's historic Venetian Room.

The Dallas Opera is sad to announce the death yesterday of Mrs. William W. Winspear at an assisted living facility in Dallas, Texas, following a long illness.  Margot Winspear was 83 years old.

The Acting Company (Margot Harley, Co-Founder and Producer), America's best known touring repertory theater, will honor Emmy Award-winner Tom Fontana, educator and student mentor Paul Fontana, and Acting Company Co-founder and Producer Margot Harley at a Gala Benefit evening on Monday, November 9th atCapitale (130 Bowery - between Broome & Grand Sts). Both of the gentlemen will each be presented with the Warburg Humanitarian Award for their outstanding philanthropic endeavors on behalf of children, education and the arts, while Ms. Harley will be saluted for her 43 years of leadership and achievement as she steps down as Producer of The Acting Company.
