Fresh, fast and spectacularly funny, Chicago's legendary comedy troupe, The Second City, returns to Pittsburgh Public Theater with a new show today, August 28 and tomorrow, August 29, 2015.

The Playwrights Realm presents the New York Premiere of A Delicate Ship by Anna Ziegler, directed by Margot Bordelon. The production runs now through September 12, 2015, officially opening tonight, August 27, 2015, at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 W. 42nd Street, NYC).

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) in association with Diana Amsterdam, presents Practical PLAYWRITING: How to Write for Commercial Production, a one-day intensive today, August 22, 2015 from 11:00am to 5:30pm at the Desotelle NuBox Theatre, 300 W. 43rd Street, 3rd floor. This is a unique writer's workshop with a happy ending: a chance to pitch your work to a panel of producers, and is part of The TRU Beginnings series of opportunities for works in early development.

Christopher Tierney assumes the iconic role of Johnny Castle tonight in the North American tour of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage as it opens tonight at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago, where it will continue through August 30. This marks the launch of the second year of the hugely successful national tour which will go on to play markets including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, Nashville, Des Moines and Denver this season. Signature Theatre presents THE FIX, directed by Signature Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Gigi, Follies, Million Dollar Quartet). Featuring a book by John Dempsey and music by Dana P. Rowe (the creators of Brother Russia and The Witches of Eastwick), the show quickly became a favorite among Signature's artistic team during its U.S. premiere at the Theatre in 1998, cementing a longstanding relationship with Dempsey and Rowe. Running in the MAX Theatre now through September 20, the inside-politics musical satire is the first production of Signature Theatre's 2015/2016 season. Casting is set for Signature Theatre's world premiere of A.R. Gurney's new play Love & Money, directed by Mark Lamos. The production runs tonight, August 15, to September 27, 2015 with an August 24, 2015 opening night in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). The show is a co-production with Westport Country Playhouse.

Currently, the New Museum is presenting the first major New York surveys of work by Sarah Charlesworth (through September 20) and Albert Oehlen (through September 13) as well as a new Lobby Gallery installation by Leonor Antunes (through September 6) and an exhibition co-curated with Taipei Contemporary Art Center (through September 6).
