Roadside Attractions and Miramax To Release Whitney Houston Documentary WHITNEY 7/6

According to Comingsoon.net, the forthcoming documentary following the life of Whitney Houston will be released this summer on July 6. The doc, titled WHITNEY, is directed by Kevin Macdonald, who is known for winning the Academy Award for  ONE DAY IN SEPTEMBER. The documentary is coming from Roadside Attractions and Miramax. Signature Theatre to Honor Legacy Playwright Edward Albee at Annual Gala

The Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; James Houghton, Founder) Annual Gala will take place on Monday, March 12, 2018 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (located at 480 West 42nd Street between 9th & 10th Avenues). The event will celebrate the late Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Edward Albee and honor the passionate and visionary leadership of former President of the Signature Board of Trustees, Michael Rauch. The Gala is taking place on what would have been Edward Albee's 90th Birthday.

The Klezmatics Featuring Joshua Nelson Come to The Broad Stage

The Klezmatics, known for their unique blend of melodic mysticism and improvisational activism, return to The Broad Stage to turn their music inside out on Thursday, March 29 at 7:30pm. Performing alongside the "Prince of Kosher Gospel," Joshua Nelson, this evening will expose the complexity of Jewish identity, Black identity and human identity.

Jacob's Pillow Announces Recipient of New Annual Fellowship In Partnership With Tilles Center

Ephrat "Bounce" Asherie, Artistic Director of Ephrat Asherie Dance, is awarded the inaugural Jacob's Pillow Fellowship at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post. The fellowship includes a $15,000 grant, a one-week residency at Jacob's Pillow's new Pillow Lab, and a residency at LIU Tilles Center. Executive Vice Chairman Roger Tilles was integral in making this new partnership between Jacob's Pillow and Long Island University possible.

Further distinguishing these Norfolk performances is the presence of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, who will perform the beautiful Prokofiev score live, making the experience a feast for the ears as well as the eyes.
