According to Comingsoon.net, the forthcoming documentary following the life of Whitney Houston will be released this summer on July 6. The doc, titled WHITNEY, is directed by Kevin Macdonald, who is known for winning the Academy Award for  ONE DAY IN SEPTEMBER. The documentary is coming from Roadside Attractions and Miramax. The Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; James Houghton, Founder) Annual Gala will take place on Monday, March 12, 2018 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (located at 480 West 42nd Street between 9th & 10th Avenues). The event will celebrate the late Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Edward Albee and honor the passionate and visionary leadership of former President of the Signature Board of Trustees, Michael Rauch. The Gala is taking place on what would have been Edward Albee's 90th Birthday.

The Klezmatics, known for their unique blend of melodic mysticism and improvisational activism, return to The Broad Stage to turn their music inside out on Thursday, March 29 at 7:30pm. Performing alongside the "Prince of Kosher Gospel," Joshua Nelson, this evening will expose the complexity of Jewish identity, Black identity and human identity.

Ephrat "Bounce" Asherie, Artistic Director of Ephrat Asherie Dance, is awarded the inaugural Jacob's Pillow Fellowship at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post. The fellowship includes a $15,000 grant, a one-week residency at Jacob's Pillow's new Pillow Lab, and a residency at LIU Tilles Center. Executive Vice Chairman Roger Tilles was integral in making this new partnership between Jacob's Pillow and Long Island University possible.

Further distinguishing these Norfolk performances is the presence of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, who will perform the beautiful Prokofiev score live, making the experience a feast for the ears as well as the eyes.

"Dial M for Murder" is opening March 23 at the Granite Theatre.  The show is a classic thriller. Alfred Hitchcock turned it into a cinematic blockbuster that captivated audiences.  An outstanding cast thrusts the audience into the middle of this psychologically immersive thriller. Producer/ Artistic Director for the theatre is David Jepson.  

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) has announced its 2018-19 Season of seven plays, celebrating the company's 40th Anniversary Season bringing the best new plays and musicals from national artists to Lowell and the entire Merrimack Valley region.

The Handel and Haydn Society continues its 2017-18 Season with two performances of the Bach Mass in B Minor on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Boston Symphony Hall. Widely considered one of the greatest musical compositions in musical history, the Handel and Haydn performance is destined to be an inspiring emotional and spiritual experience.

City Theatre Company, Pittsburgh's home for new plays, has announced the details of the theatre's 44th season of new works. She recently starred on Broadway SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION for which she received a Tony Award nomination. Her other Broadway credits include 9TO 5, A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE and PRESENT LAUGHTER.

A star-studded host committee, Academy Awards nominees and presenters, along with some of the most powerful industry influencers came together on March 3 rd, 2018 for the 16 th annual 'Night Before' party to benefit MPTF. Funds raised during the legendary evening will be used to support MPTF in providing social services and financial assistance to the entertainment community, as well as it's renowned retirement community and innovative programs for seniors and those who care for them. The organization impacts thousands of people each year who have committed their lives to a career in entertainment. The annual event raised $5 million last night, totaling just over $80 million in the event's history.

The 33rd Film Independent Spirit Award ceremony aired live on IFC on Saturday, March 3 at 2:00 pm PT/5:00 pm ET. Nick Kroll and John Mulaney returned to host the event.

On Thursday, March 1, 2018, the 14th Street Y hosted its 2018 PURIM Gala at Cipriani, 25 Broadway, NYC, raising more than $355,00. Proceeds from the Gala help to advance the 14th Street Y's mission as a hub of creativity, community programming, and Jewish culture in downtown Manhattan, providing scholarships, developing enrichment programs, and enhancing the lives of more than 26,000 people who walk through the doors each year.
