SAFEhouse Arts, a nonprofit organization working to incubate new performing artists through residencies, workshops and performance opportunities, has announced the schedule for its ninth annual summer performance festival, SPF9, featuring ten programs over five days. Jade Esteban Estrada, who just completed an Australian run of his solo musical comedy, 'ICONS: The Lesbian and Gay History of the World, Vol. 1' as part of the 2016 Fringe World Festival in Perth, has just joined Texas Light Opera (www.texaslightopera.org) as an artistic advisor. His first role in this new capacity is co-director with Vaughn Taylor of 'Make Me a Musical', which opens at Performing Arts San Antonio (PASA) on April first for a three week run.

Vancouver, BC - NorthWest Comedy Fest and Just For Laughs are proud to celebrate the success of their inaugural comedy festival, JFL NorthWest, which took place February 18-27. Over 22,000 fans attended the 10-day festival, which featured more than 60 performances at 16 venues across Vancouver. In addition, audiences world-wide were able to catch a glimpse of the festival and some of their favourite comedians via Periscope.
