Broadway's award-winning best musical THE LION KING celebrates its 22nd anniversary on Wednesday, November 13 at the Minskoff Theatre!

Disney Theatrical Productions and Broadway in Cincinnati announce that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's The Lion King go on sale to the public Friday, September 27. The Lion King will leap onto the Aronoff Center stage on January 8 for a four-week engagement through February 2.

Disney Theatrical Productions and Broadway Grand Rapids are thrilled to announce that tickets for the long-awaited premiere engagement of Disney's The Lion King go on sale to the public Thursday, September 5. The Lion King will leap onto DeVos Hall's stage on Wednesday, November 20 for a two-week engagement through Sunday, December 1.

While in Toronto for Toy Story 4's Canadian premiere, Tony Hale took in a performance of Disney's The Lion King at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto on June 14 and met Gerald Ramsey (Mufasa), Nia Holloway (Nala) and Jared Dixon (Simba).

Performances for the return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING begin tonight at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre. The 8-week engagement will play from Thursday June 13 through Sunday August 4, 2019.

This historic milestone has been achieved by only two other shows in Broadway history.

The Lion King - the most successful title in musical theatre history - passes another historic milestone this week, welcoming its 100,000,000th guest worldwide. Since its Broadway premiere on November 13, 1997, 25 productions have played in 100 cities around the world on every continent except Antarctica.

Disney's THE LION KING is celebrating a sold-out engagement, which concluded on Sunday, May 5 at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. The triumphant two-week premiere engagement, which played 16 performances from April 24 through May 5, grossed more than $2.5 million at the box office and entertained more than 32,000 theatergoers.

THE LION KING will open tonight in Busan at the Dream Theatre following record-breaking seasons in Seoul and Daegu. The excitement has been building for audiences from Busan and the surrounding cities for the landmark musical's arrival. For the very first time in this region of Korea, people can see a production of this scale and ticket sales have been unprecedented. The Busan season has already been extended to accommodate the huge demand, now closing on 26th May, which will be the final chance for Koreans to see the original Broadway production on home soil.

Playhouse Square will present a special performance of Disney's THE LION KING for individuals with sensory sensitivities, autism spectrum disorders and other sensory, social and cognitive challenges or issues and their families on Saturday, August 31 at 1:30 p.m. This marks the first-ever sensory-friendly performance of a touring Broadway show in Cleveland. Playhouse Square has previously presented sensory-friendly performances as part of the Children's Theater Series presented by University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's.
