The multi-faceted musical director/arranger/accompanist/composer Alex Rybeck flexed his talent this past Sunday night, sharing songs of every ilk with an appreciatively packed 54 Below. 'Tonight is proof positive that dreams come true, just not how you imagine. I always thought you had to have a hit song to headline an evening here…' Delivered by many of his celebrated singer friends he's worked with often (including the Callaway Sisters, Liz and Ann), entertaining selections from the writer's canon included bossa nova, ballads, musical theater numbers, pop, comic turns, seasonal songs, and 'Serenade,' a haunting piece of music the author composed for his mother which seemed like portraiture: strong, proud, thoughtful, warm, light.

Edd Clark and Sue Matsuki kick off the holiday season by bringing their annual show, Sue & Edd's FABULOUS Christmas Show for 2 performances to Don't Tell Mama (343 West 46th Street). Thursday, December 4th at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 7th at 3:00.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Tom Andersen, the 5-time MAC Award winner, wrapped up his sold-out run of 'My Favorite Sings' on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. at Don't Tell Mama, 343 W. 46th St., NYC. BroadwayWorld was on the scene to photograph the many acclaimed cabaret performers who flocked to his final show, including Scott Coulter, Frank Dain, Tim DiPasqua, Julie Gold, Christine Lavin, Marcus Simeone, Steve Ross and Lennie Watts.

Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC), dedicated to advancing the art and business of live entertainment, held their 28th Annual MAC Awards celebration last evening at BB King's Blues club in Times Square. Winners in twenty-five categories were announced. The show was hosted by the vivacious singer, band leader, multiple MAC Award winner and 2014 Nominee, Terese Genecco. The gala was produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts, the current MAC President. Don Rebic served as Musical Director. Cabaret Cares Concludes its 2012 Season with its Christmas Extravaganza on Dec 17th hosted by Tanya Holt. Cabaret Cares is the award winning series that raises funds for Help Is On The Way Today. Started in 2005 Cabaret Cares has raised over $74,000 for Help Is On The Way Today.
