Disney Channel has ordered a third season of the Emmy® Award-nominated animated 'Big Hero 6 The Series' ahead of the season two premiere, MONDAY, MAY 6 (3:30-4:00 p.m. EDT/PDT) on Disney Channel. New episodes will continue to roll out weekdays through May 17. Episodes will also be available the same day on DisneyNOW.

The Central New York Playhouse Holiday production for this season is the timeless classic Miracle on 34th Street under the direction of Bella Calabria. production, set in present day, is heartwarming, nostalgic, and, as per usual, demonstrates the devotion of the community theater performers to their craft.

The Trevor Project hosted its 2018 TrevorLIVE Los Angeles gala at The Beverly Hilton where it honored Emmy®, Golden Globe® and Peabody® Award-winning screenwriter, producer and director Ryan Murphy and the cast of 'POSE;' Amandla Stenberg; and AT&T. Eugene Lee Yang hosted the event which helped raise over $1.5 million and included performances by Lauren Jauregui, Deborah Cox, and a surprise performance by POSE castmates Billy Porter, Mj Rodriguez, and Our Lady J. Lyric Opera of Chicago's production of Verdi's Il trovatoreopens Saturday, Nov. 17, at 7:30pm. There are seven performances November 17 - December 9  at the Lyric Opera House, 20 N. Wacker Dr., Chicago. Tickets start at $39 and are available now at lyricopera.org/Trovatore or at 312-827-5600.

During a recent appearance on FBE's REACT, Mara Wilson described the atmosphere on set the day she filmed the iconic scene from Matilda, which has since inspired the viral #MatildaChallenge.

Mara Wilson has partnered with Substack to launch her first-ever subscription newsletter, titled Shan't We Tell the Vicar? after one of her more prolific Twitter threads, 'Titles I'd fully believe are British TV shows.' It's Mental Health Awareness Month and The Child Mind Institute is featuring a celebrity video per day as part of its #MyYoungerSelf campaign to end the stigma attached to mental health and learning disorders. Each day, the site will share celebrities speaking to their younger selves via homemade, inspiring messages recorded on their smartphones. Today's video features Patti Murin, discussing her struggles with depression.

The hit show, (MOSTLY) TRUE THINGS, returns to The Tank on Sunday, April 22 at 7:00 pm. (MOSTLY) TRUE THINGS is hosted by the show's creator, Jude Treder-Wolff, and features storytellers Liz Gannon Graydon, Robin Gelfenbien, Brian Grossi, Rhonda Hansome, and David Lawson.

Writer and actor Mara Wilson, known to many for playing Matilda Wormwood in the beloved film Matilda, will be helping Willy Wonka  with his search as  one of the judges in thisyear's Roald Dahl's Imaginormous Challenge and will be helping to read the entries and pick the winners. Mara announced her involvement on Twitter earlier this week, noting that she is 'thrilled to be helping to pick a winner!'

As far as our fickle adult memory is concerned, there could be very few child roles in major Broadway and West End musicals that captured our hearts: Annie, Oliver, Mary Lennox, and Dorothy. Matilda is the latest welcome addition.

Houston Grand Opera will open its 63rd season with a new production of Verdi's most romantic opera, La traviata, October 20 November 11 in the new HGO Resilience Theater at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston.

Back home at Carnegie Hall for the second year after more than a quarter century's absence, the Richard Tucker Music Foundation's annual gala concert, one of the most highly anticipated operatic events of the season, will take place on Sunday, December 10, with single tickets going on sale today.

Verdi's sumptuous epic AIDA graces the Kennedy Center for the first time in more than 25 years, and it is a knock-out. The three hour visual and auditory spectacle helmed by director Francesca Zambello and conductor Evan Rogister with original sketches and concept design by famed visual artist RETNA and choreography by one of contemporary dance's leading voices Jessica Lang is not to be missed. In her director's note, Francesca Zambello speaks to AIDA's appeal with opera lovers as part of the very "fabric of our beings", but you surely don't have to be a lover of opera to fall in love with this ensemble and creative team.

The University Musical Society of the University of Michigan (UMS) announces that British actor Jeremy Irons will be the Speaker for the Hill Auditorium performance of Bernstein's Symphony No. 3 ('Kaddish') that closes the 2017 New York Philharmonic residency on Sunday, November 19.
