The University of Cape Town Drama Department, in partnership with the Baxter Theatre Centre, will commemorate the life and work of Barney Simon in a season of plays when it stages TOUCHED BY BARNEY SIMON: A RETROSPECTIVE during the month of May.
A powerful story of two injured souls searching for redemption in a fragile, post-apartheid South Africa, Solomon And Marion featuring Dame Janet Suzman and Khayalethu Anthony, opens at Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 16 October - 1 November.

Presented by Cape Town Opera, Show Boat is a musical of the old American South, rich with nostalgia, humour, love stories and well-loved melodies such as Ol' Man River and Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man. This ever-popular critically acclaimed musical will be on stage at the Opera House at Artscape, Cape Town for four performances only from 16 to 18 May 2014 before the production tours the United Kingdom from 2 July to 2 August 2014. Vital Theatre Company will bring back THE BULLY, with music and lyrics by John Gregor, book by David L. Williams, and directed by Linda Ames Key. The show will run Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 1pm beginning January 14th through February 26th, 2012, with weekday school holiday performances on January 16th and 27th and February 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd at 11am and 1pm.
